Has anyone seen this yet? It looks okay I guess. I'm not sure how they think they can compete with Dota 2 or LoL when they don't have any of the guys that worked on the original DotA at Blizzard (to my knowledge anyway).

And I agree, I'm really not sure what Blizzard's doing here. They pretty much have no audience at all between DotA 2 and LoL, nevermind the fact that nobody who had anything to do with the development of the genre works at Blizzard.

this will get attention solely by being Blizzard. I don't think it'll fail but the DOTA 2 vs. Blizzard DOTA thing is super weird.

Yeah, I checked it out just after I posted that. Goddamn, even ignoring the oversaturation of this genre, this is just a terrible idea. I would rather see SSB4 be a DotA instead more than I would like to see this.

LoL, HoN, and DotA 2 are the big ones. I don't know how popular the original DotA on WCIII still is, though.

I think it's pretty cool to see nova in here.

But if I play Blizzard DotA (will it be free?) My main is 100% going to be Zeratul regardless of how he plays. Best character in any blizzard anything.

Unless they do something stupid and make it cost $60 bucks, which would kill the game anyway, I'll definitely give it a try. It'll at least be novel and enjoyable as a conglomeration of Blizzard characters in one game. I do find it silly that they have "Witchdoctor" for a hero though when it could easily just be Zul'jin or Vol'jin or something. And a Siege Tank seems a waste too.

I get that but I still see it as being silly/a waste when Thrall and Nova are characters. Hell, instead of a generic Abomination, we even have Stitches.
