'Kay, the "comparisons" I made earlier were meant to be "sarcastic". There's no way anyone could take that seriously, including me.
How on earth did Call of Duty avoid being doubled by Zelda in the first conference match considering what it did today?
Earthbound, what a choker. On a side note, I will support FFVIII to win its conference because I don't care for MM all that much.
Good job making a match out of that, Civ4, not that you should be losing to RPGs with loud haters in the first place. Both games in that match seem to overperform against stronger opponents for whatever reason.
Haha Sonic CD with its first win since week 4.
Good job making up for last week, HL2. To be fair, this is actually HL2's first match since week 9 where it was going up against an opponent with a better record. Now, is SA2 below FE7 in the RPI?
Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance (Cult RPG Galaxy Conference) (19-3, 3-1) 26 (72.22%) God of War II (Cult RPG Galaxy Conference) (7-15, 1-3) 10 (27.78%) --Fire Emblem cuts a path to victory over GoW2.

Super Metroid did everything to make me happy in that match aside from actually winning. Still, congrats to putting up a good fight against what the RPI says is your strongest opponent yet. Also I'd say that that is Super Metroid's best match of the contest so far (although some personal bias taints this because I never like seeing FFVI suck it up).
Super Metroid's Strength of Schedule should get a nice boost from that match, too. Where is Super Metroid in the RPI now?
Pretty embarrassing on Mario 64's part that it needed that comeback to avoid the upset, and even then it was actually made to look weaker than Mario Kart 64, too (plus that's the same loss margin as MGS2 > Super Metroid). However, I am getting kinda sick of seeing all those "Mario game gets six or seven votes in a row to avoid losing" matches.
vcharon posted... At least quote the actual horrific result if you're going to do it.
Shameful Uncharted 2 goes down to RSE.
Only thing shameful about that is that the best generation of Pokémon has the worst record!
Actually, everything about the Pokémon games' performances is shameful. RSE has the worst record at 10-12, then DPP at 10-11 (probably 11-11 after this week), then BW at 16-6, then GSC at 18-4, and finally RBY at 20-2--the exact order of the quality of generations from best to worst.
...okay, that's not really fair. Yes, III > IV > V > II > I, but BW > DP easily--Gen IV only gets the advantage (actually, f*** that, IV > III when you add that in) because of HG/SS, which due to being a "remake" would've been ineligible for this contest anyway (hence FR/LG's removal early on).

I can agree with this wholeheartedly.
Edit:... minus the edited part. Inferring HGSS alone was enough to make Gen IV better than Gen III is not something I'm prepared to support. I'd even say that Platinum was better than it imho.
I honestly do not see the Colts taking Luck anyway. Luck's rookie contract would be up by the time Peyton's deal would be over and I do not see the Colts releasing/waiving Manning. Polian is too smart to waste a high draft pick on someone who does not fit into their immediate plans
