Have an interesting job offer out in California and I'm not sure if I want to take it or not. Would be in the gaming industry and probably a pretty decent job (all I'll say for now. <_<) Sounds like it would probably easily allow me the spare time to continue indie game development as well. D:
But the girl I've been dating for a while now hates the West coast and I doubt she'd be willing to move. Normally I'd say screw it and move but this is the first time out of all of my relationships where I didn't start to despise the girl a month in (yes, I clearly have issues. >_>) Also the first time I've ever even considered a relationship leading to marriage as opposed to nothing. D:

I'm not 100% sure. I mentioned possibly moving out there in the past for work and she didn't seem to like the idea. I'll probably bring it up to her sometime this week, she still doesn't know about it.

Haha, nah. That's actually one of the lower reasons. (Updated last post.) Besides that she's just one of the few people I've met that I can stand to be around for more than a few days at a time without wanting to throw them into a lake (I get sick of people very quickly.)
And she enjoys traveling as much as I do which is a big plus, just went to Japan together in July.

But at least if you both like to travel it means you probably wouldn't have a problem traveling to see each other for a little while if you have to do distance until she can/decides to move out with you.
Really, if this is a great job opportunity (which it sounds like it is) then you should really take advantage of it. Especially in this economy.
Besides, you really don't want to end up bitter about missing the opportunity if things aren't going well with the gf.

She's about to graduate. Nothing concrete for her job yet, but she has been talking to a place out in Virginia. And it's been close to a year. One of those really good friends for a few years then turned into dating things though.

The job also wouldn't be working on developing games, but would still be a much better entry to the industry than the beta-testing a lot of people use.
