I was quite embarrassed to learn that F3 does the same thing with one less keystroke! How common knowledge is this?

On topic of fun keys, if you're running Windows Vista or 7 (don't think XP does this) hit Ctrl + Tab + Windows Key and watch sorcery happen.

Incredibly cool if you don't know about it imo (though completely pointless).

Oh what the hell, ctrl + tab + windows key worked for me and it was trippy as f***. Windows 7.

I have Vista and it didn't do anything <_<

I can only seem to get it to work with the left ctrl/tab/windows keys, and even then it's unreliable, but when it works it does do something. Kind of a useless thing, but it's something.

i have my windows key disabled, what does the cltr+tab+windows key thing do?

If you're talking about Aero mode, you just need windows+tab. It's just a trippier version of alt+tab.

Edit: Well ok, you add ctrl if you want it to not go away once you release the keys, then you can just tab through the windows. And you have to make sure you're pressing tab last.

Edit2: Oh the mode is actually called Flip 3D.

That was basically THE thing that they tried to sell Vista on... even though it's distinctly inferior to alt+tab. You still saw it in every commercial though.

I've always loved Windows + Tab, even though I never use it since a quick Alt + Tab is all I ever need... but nonetheless it's still cool

Windows and + is awesome though, I might actually use this one since I'm actually far away from my monitor (my tv), and sometimes something's a bit too small to see

Ahh.. I knew I'd seen that effect somewhere, but I don't ever remember pressing that combination of keys.
