I bought Pokemon XD, Paper Mario TTYD and Phantasy Star 0 twice because I sold them and then like a year later I felt like playing again.

I also have two copies of SSBM, but I only bought the game once so I have not the slightest idea where the other copy is from.

I have done it several times.

SM64 and SM64DS - to be fair, they are pretty different, and SM64DS was free with my DS anyway
Oblivion and Oblivion GotY Digital Deluxe (still cheaper than buying GotY when Oblivion was given to me in 2007)
World of Goo - I own at least 3 copies. Maybe 4. I don't know. It's because I bought it on Steam, then there were Humble Indie Bundles.
Osmos - 2 copies, again bought on Steam, then Humble Indie Bundle
Crayon Physics - bought as a pay what you want special, then it was included in a Humble Indie Bundle

Probably others I forgot, and those would also be indie games like the last two. I am no longer buying indie games as standalone games if I feel they will be in a Humble Indie Bundle at this point.

Own the handheld and VC versions of all three. I have a feeling that Final Fantasy VI and Chrono Trigger will follow suit some day.

I own 3 Warcraft 3s.

I've had four copies of Ocarina of Time - N64, 2 on Game Cube (the one that came with Wind Waker pre-orders and the Zelda 15th Anniversary collection that had that, Majora's Mask, and Zelda 1 and 2), and now 3DS.

I've also bought Virtual Console versions of some older games that I already owned.

In addition, I traded in Sonic Adventure DX years ago and recently repurchased it.
