Alright, the format is up for debate, but since we never really got anywhere in the old topic, I have arbitrarily decided:
-We will shoot for 15 people. (10, 20, 25, any multiple of five will work) -Divvy everybody up into divisions of 5. -Everybody plays everybody else in the division 3 times. (so everybody gets 12 games in the regular season) -Top 2 or so per division advance to a single-elimination, best of 5 tournament -Finals are best of 7
The reason I did groups of five was that first-turn is a decently big deal...an odd number lets everybody have the same number of "home" and "away" games, and 5 gives everybody a decent but not overwhelming amount of playtime. I'll do a 4-man tourney for 10, 8-man for 15 or 20, and bigger for more.
Veto mode will be off for the regular season unless both sides agree to it, and point tracker will be the choice of whoever starts the game. For the playoffs, the first person will get a choice- either pick who gets first turn for the majority of games, or pick whether veto mode and point tracker are on for the series. Other guy gets to do the other.

Tombolo is apparently using windows atm! Maybe BlAcK TuRtLe is too!
black orchid has 58 points (6 Provinces, 3 Duchies, 7 Estates, and 2 Dukes) and took 30 turns. Tombolo has 44 points (5 Duchies, 2 Provinces, 7 ▼, a Duke, and 5 Estates) and took 30 turns.
this game was exactly as slow as it looks

Also it should be a Dominion card game/Dominion League of Legends map combo league.

on 4ways: right now they have inherent flaws, but could be easily fixed by implementing approval voting! ~ToadYoshi 1. SoAL 2. MKW/64 3. FE7 4. TF2 5. FFCC
could we do a b8 LoL tournament for kicks? could be fun
dunno how we'd do it, but whatever
anyway, Tom - know how SR is 5v5, bot left vs top right, with towers in between? Dominion is far from that.
Dominion focuses very little on farming minions and throws you immediately into a fighting scenario. There will rarely be a 5v5 fight, but there are constantly 1v1s, 2v2s, and 3v3s going on around the map, which is in a circle. Around the circle are 5 zones - capture these zones to damage the enemy team's Nexus. First team to lose all their health points on their Nexus loses. Matches are about 15-25 minutes, are very fast-paced, and is nothing like the DotA-esque matches. Dominion offers new items (to balance the existing champions around the new game). We're hoping for a release in the upcoming weeks.
It's actually pretty simple basically, you just have to read the cards (isotropic lets you mouseover them) to figure them out and the rest you can pick up in five minutes.
Every turn, you start with one action and one buy, and the cards you drew at the end of your last turn. The action phase is first- you play whatever action cards you have and do what you say. Some of them give you actions or cards back, others do all sorts of stuff. When you've played all the actions you can/want to, you play your treasure to enter the buy phase, where you can buy a card(s) to add to your deck. That's how you make your deck better. The idea is to buy good treasure and actions so that you can get better and better cards, so that eventually you can get those green cards that are worth VP. The game ends when all the Provinces are bought (Colonies also have this effect but they aren't in every game) OR when there are three different types of cards that have been completely bought out. Whoever has the most VP wins- usually all your VP will be from having Estates/Duchies/Provnices in your deck, but sometimes there are other ways to score.
I'd recommend playing a game or two on isotropic to get the hang of things so you aren't COMPLETELY unprepared but you can probably bumble around with just that much. >_> Two basic tips: Don't buy green cards too early, as generally they just waste space in your deck. Most people will spend most of the time improving their deck, THEN rush for the VP cards at the end once they can afford the best ones. Also, keep an eye on your Action count. If you buy a bunch of "terminal" actions (ones that don't have +1 action on the card) then you will only be able to play one a turn, so you don't want to get too many because you'll draw cards you can't play....conversely, if you only buy cards that give you +2 actions and not much else, you're not really going to get much use out of them because the main point is to play more terminals with them.
I'd offer to play a few games with you but I don't have the bandwidth right now >_>

If you are listed as 1, you start against 2 and 3. If you are listed as 2, you start against 3 and 4. 3 starts against 4 and 5. 4 starts against 1 and 5. 5 against 1 and 2.
As a reminder: -Play three games with everybody in your division. Score isn't important. -The person who starts gets to pick whether or not to use point tracker. -You may use Veto Mode if you both agree to it. -Report match results in this topic. -Top 2 in each division advance, in addition to two "wild cards" with the best records among the remaining competitors.
That should cover it, right? I'm not going to set a deadline just yet, so don't make me regret that (said the man who has very little internet access and will probably hold up his own division >_>)

I'm moving into my apartment tomorrow, so I'm going to be pretty busy for the next 3-4 days or so, and then school starts next Wednesday. But I'll try to make time for this.
