Also, the Horde DLC says 3 new "horde maps". I wonder if any of them will transfer over? I kind of like the idea of some horde specific maps though. Overpass is an awesome horde map, but not such a good versus map.

I don't think it was ranked, I think those wait to fill up with real people.

Ranked in the first Gears was crap because it was all cheevo whores. You couldn't even 2v1 an opponent without risking some idiot freaking out because you "stole" their kill, even if you did all the damage and downed the guy. Player matches were awesome though.

Gears 2 host system was terrible so I didn't do much PvP

the ending especially but now that i think about it the campaign itself wasn't that great either

very few "AWWW YEAHHHH" moments compared to the first two mixed with having to use lame people (mostly sam and ludacris, not anya as much) for the majority of the game

you got baird and cole for like 8 of the 20-something chapters. they're the two best characters!

i just wanted to beast with delta squad...i think the four of them where together for like one entire chapter

Thrashball is a nice Horde map. You have a solid base, but you still have to watch the little hallways, and if you try and camp way up top, enemies will spawn at the Mortar. You can also try and knock down the scoreboard on bosses, though there's always someone shooting it down during wave 1.

What I don't like about Overpass is that the base is tough to defend during bosses. They get up there easily and it's a death trap. for the other 9 waves, it's EZ mode. You have a good base and if you stay low, all the enemies just funnel up to you, and you have great cover.

I liked Mercy as a Horde map last night, the top area is a decent little base, and the map is wide open for shooting enemies. The mortar spot is a good vantage point with good cover.
