KOS-MOS/Dante/Ridley/Axl/Snake have challenged Agahnim/Zant/Ganondorf/Cielo/Athos to a fight! Location of the fight: Oil Ocean Zone (Sonic 2) - One of Robotnik's...more interesting ideas, this mechanized refinery sits upon a literal ocean of oil. The badniks are gone, but everything else is still in place. Just be careful not to light that oil on fire. Also, the terrain has been completely engulfed in flames; voters must take this into account. Which side will win?



Guidelines

- The fight will occur in real-time (like an FMV sequence). Gameplay mechanics are less important than how the characters would function in a real-time environment.

- The members of each team are ideal teammates capable of a pre-selected plan of battle.

- "Broken" refers to a lot of things, including insta-death, auto-effects, a variety of status effects (e.g., Imp, Silence, Stop, *not* Poison), and revival. Unless stated otherwise, nobody has them, though do use your own discretion.

- There may be SPOILERS from all of the games the characters are from.

- Provide a justification for why you think the selected team would win. Fanboy logic, ignoring character assumptions or rules, and vague or unintelligible justifications are all grounds for having your vote disqualified.

- This match will end in 24 hours.



KOS-MOS is as she appears in Xenosaga 1, though she does not have access to Gate, Satellite, or S-Chain. She's strictly in her Red Eyes form, has access to only her techs as well as Shion's transferable ones minus Revert, all her weapons save for F-SCYTHE, and is in her best non-broken equipment. Roo (Streets of Rage 3) has "gifted" KOS-MOS with a pair of boxing gloves, and these gloves cannot be removed during combat.

Dante is as he appears in DMC4, though he does not have his canon regen. He may access Devil Trigger for up to 10 seconds every 5 minutes, and he does not have Pandora or Yamato.

Omega Ridley is as he appears in his Metroid Prime 3: Corruption boss fight.

Axl is as he appears in Mega Man X8, in his White Axl form. He has access to the DNA cores from that game and from Mega Man X7, as well as access to all his Command Mission transformations save for Mad Nautilus. He has all his X7 and X8 weapons save for Copy Shot and A Trance, and he does not have any other powerups or items. He does not have access to his Hyper Mode. Axl may transform into Samus for 30 seconds at any time during the fight.

Old Snake is as he appears in Metal Gear Solid 4, though he does not suffer from his self-destructive FOXDIE issues. He is equipped with his Stun Knife, suppressed Operator, Five-SeveN, fully upgraded M4 Custom, Mk. 46 Machine Gun, DSR-1 Sniper Rifle, MGL-140 with a full supply of all non-emotion forms of grenades, C4, Stinger, Solar Gun, Rail Gun, THOR .45-70, and The Patriot. He also has access to his Solid Eye, Octocamo, Nanomachine Syringe, Facecamo with a copy of every mercenary on the field, the latest issue of Playboy, cigarette packet, a cardboard box, and Bandana. The Fury has set Snake on fire with his flamethrower. While nothing is stopping Snake from being put out, he will begin the battle nicely roasting.

Agahnim has all of his abilities displayed from his endgame fight in LttP, where he gets two shadow clones. He can be damaged by other means that reflecting his magic back at him.

Zant is as he appears in his boss battle in Twilight Princess, wielding twin swords and rapid fire dark magic. He cannot change the terrain, his size or teleport, and attacks in a frenzied, almost berserk manner.

Ganondorf is as he appears in the final boss fight of Twilight Princess, wielding his large sword. He also possesses flight and the ability to shoot balls of dark magic at his foes (both as seen in Ocarina of Time), as well as his Brawl moveset. Finally, he may transform into and back from his Beast Ganon form as seen in [A Link to the Past/Twilight Princess] at will during the fight.

Cielo is as he appears in Digital Devil Saga 2. Regarding spells and skills, he has all his gun skills, Void spells, elementals up to Ma_dyne, Xanadu, Wicked Curse, non-revival healing, non-ID Hunt skills, Chi Wave, Power Wave, Executioner, Megido, Megidola, and all buffs and debuffs. The only passive skills he has are Resolution, Life Surge, and Fire Resist. He may freely turn into any of his 3 forms - demon, human, or the hybrid.

Athos is as seen in Fire Emblem: Blazing Sword, a Level 20/20 Archsage. He has Forblaze, Luna, Nosferatu, Gespenst, Bolting, Excalibur, Purge, Luce, and Barrier. In addition, he knows and is a master of every magic spell possessed by all his allied fighters participating in the battle, though only of their base forms, before abilities or transformations take effect.

Nothing needs to be said here. None of the other guys can hit Cielo or Athos, plus they're all going to die in the fire while Athos and Cielo fly up, and Ridley dies so fast in the air that he may as well just lie down and die in the ocean of oil

Kind of looks like a 5 on 3, with Snake being on fire in a sea of oil that's already on fire, and KOS-MOS not really being able to shoot effectively wearing permanent boxing gloves. But those three are pretty good

Oil ocean has a lot of high rising chimneys and buildings, etc. Nobody has to swim in the burning oil. Axl, KOSMOS, and Ridley probably wouldn't even care since it wouldn't affect them a lot.

As an added bonus, Dante can ride on top of Ridley, using him as a mount and become a dragon knight. Dante would totally do this. Who wouldn't pass up the opportunity to ride around on a dragon.

Clearly none of the fliers are too affected by the fire, other than the heat, I'd imagine. The best of them would be Ridley by a fair distance. KOS doesn't fair too well in the heat, and she has gloves on so I don't think she makes much of an impact. Unsure of Dante, and I don't know how Axl holds either, but at least in Samus form he'd be protected from the heat. Snake is toast.

I think Ridley and Ax-mus would need to do the majority of the legwork for Silver's team here, but it's still close.

Dante could jump on top of Cielo from Ridley because he's Dante and he does crazy acrobatics like that. Dante can just go shadow of the colossus on Cielo and take him down.

I don't think the gloves affect KOS-MOS significantly since I recall a lot of her weapons being miniguns that pop out of her arms/legs/etc and stuff.

Of both sides... Zant and Ridley would fall easily... Cielo kind of annihilates much, Athos would copy Cielo's way to fly and Forblaze the stage, I'm sure... And Ganondorf is pretty much Canon...

Thus, Ganon, Cielo, and Athos... other two being dead by then, would take the win... IMO

Cielo is too fast, Dante could barely see him much less jump on him. Plus he's just as liable to jump on one of the Cielo-Athos Clones, he's kinda dumb like that. In fact, He could even mistakenly jump on Cielo-Athos, who could revert back to Athos causing Dante to tumble off and then transform again.

Team Cielo.

Snake's already dead, and most of them die in oil ocean's inferno. It'd basically blow them all up and make it structurally impossible for those offshore platforms to stand on their own, they'd sink into the oil ocean.

So basically, anyone who's not capable of flight is dead from an explosion, fire, or sinking into an ocean of oil that's exploding and on fire.

Cielo gets by as the best flyer here, because not only is he fairly durable, he's got great ranged magic and is extremely fast. Ridley's the other team's main flying type, and he's not exactly good at any precision range, and even his flying's generally pretty predictable to follow. He's just too big, slow, and not even ranged.

Not to mention, Cielo has a ton of backup that can fly like Ganondorf, Zant, and Athos. Ridley's the only guy that can fly on his side, and given how big and slow a target he is, he's much easier to put down than four smaller, faster targets. Especially when Cielo could already just do to Ridley what he's done to jets and literally rip through him like a bullet.

Ridley has enough of "it" to even outspeed cielo, are you kidding?! If anything, cielo can only do short bursts, but ridley can go full speed ahead for an entire session.

Yeah, I'm not arguing Ridley wins, because he has to slow down to attack. I'm simply debating his actual speed, which I'd argue is far from slow.

Neither Dante or KOS-MOs can aim that well/fast. Cielo is so fast, he can pick up Snake's Stinger himself and shoot it at Dante.

Dante can take Snake's stinger and just shoot down Cielo. It is not that tough.

Alternatively KOS-MOS can shoot down Cielo since boxing gloves won't interfere with her weaponry much. My mercs have dealt with foes much more impressive than Cielo handily.

Snake's stinger couldn't even take down an individual radome on Metal Gear Rex. And couldn't hit anything while it was going at the speeds that Cielo can go, or even lock onto him if he was moving. Especially at the distance he'd be at.

Cielo is also pretty resistant to gunfire. And you're all forgetting Athos can transform into Cielo, and with his two clones any living enemy is getting magic spammed to death.

How do the boxing gloves work on KOS-MOS, anyway? She doesn't hold weapons, she morphs her limbs into weapons. Would the boxing glove just stick on the end of whatever she morphed?

Whoa there, it only says it can't be removed during combat.

KOS-MOS can obviously just fire through them, they'll just magically stick onto the guns while they spin. A boxing glove isn't going to really affect the force/velocity/what-have-you from a minigun.

At worst, it just makes them look funny.
