Halfway through Blood Rites. I had part of it spoiled for me, but it's still good, although it will have a hard time beating out Death Masks.

I've only watched the TV series, which sadly did not last long. How good is the book series?

Heheh, you've got Dead Beat next. You're in for a treat.

EDIT: The book series is really entertaining, and a few books in, they start becoming filled with copious amounts of awesome.

Well, most people were telling me that Summer Knight is where that awesome starts, and I honestly thought that was the weakest, but Death Masks was the absolute best.

And the book series is similar but different from the TV series, and well worth reading.

The TV series is an abomination. The books are so awesome you could combine TTGL, the best power metal albums in the business and the best parts of BGII and you wouldn't begin to scratch the surface of the awesomeness. Easily the best "action" book series in the business IMO, and worth a read if you like sprawling plots with amazing action scenes.

Summer Knight is weak. Grave Peril is when things get going IMO, and then from Dead Beat onwards reading them causes you to be in a permanent state of marking out.

1. Small Favor
2. Dead Beat
3. Summer Knight

The last one I read was Small Favor. Dead Beat is a huge step up from the previous books. I really need to get back to this series but thanks to Xenoblade I'm on a reading slump.

I think this is a series everyone should read because it's so easy to get into and can appeal to a wide range of people.

I thought White Night was the best, personally.

I'd rank White Night at 4 so far. That flashback scene in White Night is definitely one of my favorite scenes in the series.

4. White Night
5. Death Masks
6. Proven Guilty
7. Blood Rites
8. Grave Peril
9. Fool Moon
10. Storm Front

That's what I love about it. I'm not even a fast reader, but I can slam one out in a day or two.
