Welcome to the Best Playstation 2 Game Ever! A contest devised to find out what Board 8 consider to be the best PS2 game of all time.

We are now up to Round 3. Due to some exceptional performances in Round 2, 4 games earnt a bye through to Round 4. They are:

Final Fantasy X
Okami
Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater
Resident Evil 4

Funnily enough, 3 of those 4 actually got the top scores in Round 1...

Which leaves us with 36 entrants for Round 3.

Round 3 - Lucky 7s

Ok this is what i've come up with, and this is how it works. Essentially a "Save My" round, there will be 4 divisions of 9. You get to vote for 2 games you wish to progress per match up. Once a game hits 7 votes. It is safe. Once 4 out of the 9 games are safe, the round is over. Simple right?

It was a solid group of games so no matter what, I would have been both disappointed and satisfied. I haven't played a Suikoden game, so though I do not know of its quality, I would have preferred any eliminated game other than Dark Cloud 2 to take its spot

Uhhh I've played 7 games in that division and Dark Cloud is he 6th best out of all of them

For once, a round went almost completely right! My only beef would've been switching GTA with DQVIII or DMC, but that's pretty minor. The three I wanted to move on most did. Sweet.

Good, FFXII is a perfectly decent game and I have no qualms labeling it as such.

Round 4 - DA GROUP STAGE

We have 20 games left. They will be split in to 4 groups of 5, in which everyone plays everyone in their assigned group. Top 2 from each group will progress, leaving us with 8 for a straight knockout. Top from Group A will play second in Group B, Second in group B will play top from Group A, and same with Groups C and D.

Determining on how quickly the games got through Round 3 determined their seedings. The top 4 games from Round 2, automatically got the #1 Seeds. So a game from each seed category will make up the 4 groups, ye get me?

Group D is already decided, on qualifiers, but the order is still important for the quarter final match up. Group A is going to be very interesting with GTA and SotC battling it out for second place. Group B, KH looks like it should get second, especially as P3 is up against Okami. Group C is very widespread, with any one of DMC3, KH2 or Ratchet and Clank with the chance to qualify in second spot!
