So I've scheduled the draft for 7 PM central time for next Tuesday. Does that work for everyone? Let me know if it doesn't and we can try to change it.
Any other suggestions before the league gets started? Changed to the format? I figured we can just vote on it, and since we have 14 people, we'd need:
8 people in favor to change something OR 7 people, with one of those people being last year's champ (Insane)
Posting that "you don't care either way" will be counted as a yes vote.

Get points for tackles, assisted tackles, sacks, pass defense, etc... When selecting players for these spots, it's actually not a bad idea to search based on last seasons stats, mostly looking at their tackles and sacks. Safe picks are players who have a large amount of tackles as it shows them to be consistent point gainers. Risky picks would be higher sack content (still make sure they have high tackles), as your bigger points will come from the sacks.
Defensive players big points come from things like Touchdowns which shouldn't be used as a stat for picking a player. It's nice when they get those big points, but they are really rare.
I'm not a big fan of the flex spot either, at least not in the bigger leagues, but it's not a deal breaker having it. Last year, Ark really decimated having a Flex spot and 3 killer Running Backs. A little of that was just a good degree of foresight and luck, but obviously it shows how having another potential big point gainer on your roster where you normally wouldn't have one (or where most people won't have one) can definitely skew a league.
I think we already had a request not to do it over the weekend. I'm fine any day, but I'm pretty sure someone requested in the last topic not to do it on Saturdays or Sundays.

What? Every team should have the option of starting Adrian Peterson, Arian Foster, and Darren McFadden(/LeSean McCoy pre trade)!
It's just tough for me to navigate, and need to think of a way to do it quicker. (Or yahoo could get actual rankings, I guess)
I usually have two windows open. the Draft Window, and then a window that has the players available in our league (The players are removed as we draft).
I will search based on last year on the second window for my IDP players, and then use the search function in the drafting window to find the player in the draft by entering their name.
Oh, I just did a recent mock draft just to test my skills out for the first time (My draft was actually not that great last year, but oh well!) and now I know what you're talking about.

I'm currently in Airman Leadership School for the next 4 weeks and I pretty much have no free time during the weekdays because of all the homework they overload us with. One of the cons to being promoted to SSgt, more responsibilities. Plus Friday night is Saturday here in Okinawa, so...
If that can't fly I guess my teams gonna have to be auto drafted.

I would prefer Tuesday, but if doing it Friday means we get everyone here, I'm all for it. Just let me know if this is problematic for any one before I switch the time.

I hate to not have both Insane and Crono at the draft, since they finished 1/2 last year I believe (or 1/3? 1/4?), but I've already switched the draft time like three times. If everyone wants to reschedule again, that's fine, but I'll let you guys sort it all out.
I can make time pretty much any day. As long as I have a little bit of notice I can plan around it. If there aren't any major complaints, and as long as we can get 10/12 people there, why don't we still plan for Friday >_>
