Honestly doubt there'd actually be enough time to even do that since the Que times go WAAAAAY up when you get a little higher lol and then you only get like 3-4 points if you win and lose like 14-15 if you lose.

I'm trying to learn irelia now too.

I think the cool part is that she fills pretty much any role well. AD carry, AP carry, tanky DPS, and I really like a good on-hit build for her which is basically malady > tons of attack speed and max W first.

I'm having a tough time finding a good mid-game item for her. Malady is good, but you have to basically play like a carry and pick your battles or you will get mauled. Trinity and its building items are good for her, but rushing trinity every single game is boring.

Why would you get malady? It does absolutely nothing for you. Wits End on the other hand is a pro item.

They are extremely similar, one provides a tiny boost to AP, the other a tiny boost to MR. I also like the extra attack speed.

50 MR is not tiny. Also, Wit's End gives you double the extra onhit damage of Malady, so yeah...get Wits End first.

just lost 3 games as irelia tonight because nobody knows how to freaking tank to save anyone's life. I rape 1 on 1, but get my ass kicked when I have to be the first one in a teamfight.

And she suffers the exact same problem as literally every single other tanky DPS: you have to build tanky before DPS or you die from random AoE in teamfights. With a good tank she's amazing, because I was still regularly wrecking anyone out of position at all. Mallet + Ghostblade = nobody escapes (unless they dump all of their CC on you, which happens if you are the only threat and your tanks doesn't know how to use their knockups and continually backdoors)

If teams blow their cc on irelia...they're stupid and you should murder them for their stupidity. If your tank isn't initiating then tell him to stand in front and initiate. If he continues then stay behind him at all times and force him up front. As for Rabadon's, the passive makes it essential for all casters since it reads 'hey here's nearly 200 ap' with no other items. Kinda lame but not as bad as what they did to the most customizable champ in the game :-(

Tanking in pubs is both a futile exercise and a Murphy's Law situation.

When you pick a tank, your team will refuse to follow you into fights you start, even if they tell you to pick one, and complain when your KDR is low even when it's not your job to kill.

When someone on your team picks a tank, they will play him like any other champion and stay in the back of a fight because they're afraid, and wait for the carries to go to work so they can mop up.

When an enemy has a tank, they will always be the first to initiate and your team will insist on focusing them over the carries that are currently pounding them into the ground.

Bottom line, stick to Irelia, Jarvan and friends if you HAVE to have someone with tankish properties.

The problem is that I really enjoy playing as irelia and I think she's an awesome champ, I just consistently lose because I'm usually the one that folds and picks a tank because no one else will. If I ever want to play a champ that I WANT to play, I have to accept the fact that there will be no tank, and most of the time a jungler either.

I'll keep trying because I want to become competitive with her and I'm going to need the practice. She has a lot of nuances with her abilities that make her a tough champ to master.

I haven't played with B8ers in a long time.

I can feel my sanity slipping. Without a legitimate pubstomper champion in my repertoire, I'm at the mercy of solo queue. If this continues I might have to buy Vlad.

This. I can almost certainly win a lane as Shen and get my HoG/sunfire/FoN/whatever and start tanking. The issue comes when your carries are dumb as bricks and Shen can't carry that **** because it's incredibly hard to get fed as shen, or even pick up items that LET him carry.

Taric and Cho going down makes sense. Taric at least is really lacking compared to other 3150s. Or at least, he's less interesting.

I still hold that ryze > annie

ryze's damage output is more consistent and less front-loaded. that being said, he has incredible burst

the only thing annie has is the aoe stun when she can manage it, whereas he has a root on basically a 3 second cooldown lategame

annie's q is a ridiculously powerful farming tool, and her cooldowns are also low outside tibbers. The thing about Tibbers is that he does persistent damage after already being an incredible burst tool. By the time your burst is done, you're almost all the way to a stun again, and your Q is gonna be off cooldown in half a second. Her 3-second Q cooldown is crazy since it does way more damage than Ryze's.

Also an AoE stun is by default like 20x better than a root, and she can have another AoE stun ready super soon after the burst.

They probably have situations where one is better than the other. For instance, I know for a fact that Ryze is a direct counterpick to Veigar, whereas a Veigar would have little trouble blowing Annie's face off with 2 spells.

I also think Ryze can switch targets easier, where Annie is a monster at killing 1 person instantly.

Just went 0-7 with Veigar, "whoops".
Feels bad when I do so horribly with champs I wanna try out, but if I don't try and fail I won't get better. >_>

Freaking reduce a tank's cost to 450. It's the only role that you can't fill with a 450 (well, I have seen tank Nunus, but yeah). Amumu is asking to be made a 450.

The 450 characters are the easiest to play. It's also why they're always free. The sad part is that Annie is extremely easy to play and also extremely good. She takes out your most dangerous player in one shot while also doing aoe damage and stun to the whole team. Cho being cheaper is legit. Amumu should be 450 because he's the easiest tank and also the most useful. Throw bandage ult spam e with w on. Alistar and Singed are both challenging to use because they require positioning and understanding of who to isolate and how much damage they can take.

I'm not really sure what to make out of him, but I'm most curious about his Ultimate. What's the range on that thing? If it's anywhere near or above mid, then he can basically select a champion and pull them out of position for his team to beat on.

And while I hate saying this since it seems like I've said it three new champs in a row, he looks like a passable jungler.
