I still think that was the best exchange Cole and Booker had since...ever.

Mark Henry likes putting people through tables and using chairs. Sheamus likes putting people threw taybles, ladders and pretty much anything he can.

TLC match! Ok, well Henry in a TLC match would be horrible but a Taybles match or some sort of Street Fite! / No DQ would work.

Then Sheamus can go on and feud with Christian afterwards. Providing Christian is acttually still alive after Orton at Summerslam.


Speaking of which. I hope they do some sort of angle where all the people who Orton has been taking his rage out on come out and screw him over at Summerslam as payback. I mean Christian has to get some sort of help in that fight to not make it total annihilation. Actually, is there anyone our injured (or new) due to come back who could come in as Christian's bodyguard/enforcer type person to save him?

Well, no disqualifications can work in Christian's favor too, given they really played up him losing in the straight fight a lot.

Though if they need outside interference, who knows. I could almost see Zack Ryder somewhere in it getting involved, what with him being assistant GM for Smackdown. Easy lead in to get in contact with him, since Zack's already established as having been an Edgehead while Christian's Edge's best friend, and Christian's gotta get someone with authority that isn't Triple H or Teddy Long to help him. That and their ECW matches were pretty awesome.

Only problem is, I dunno if they'll bother with associating Zack with Christian given by now, Zack's a face.

if it does that's a bit of a shame - it's cool having an entire region of the US to one main promotion. but when Gabe's running his stuff and ROH is being ROH, and Chikara's starting to grow (and thank god they moved to a venue in Manhattan for the next show)? you do dwindle down to a lot of guys. still sucks though, you'd think there would be plenty of guys on that side of the US that'd wrestle.

Well, I know Punk is the biggest thing running but youre telling me the finals of a title tournament, with new management and having it all sort of felt out DURING their 3rd biggest event wouldnt have been a draw. Plus the sheer anticipation of "Will Punk show up" would still be flying. Now we know, Punk will be there. Always.

It became just another angle last week, thats all.

We would have known it as of Summerslam anyways under this plan. If you're gonna use "Will Punk show up?" as a reason the PPV would sell, then you're pretty much assuring he will!

One reason they stopped doing King of the Ring as a PPV was that they believe people don't like paying for the unknown. They will watch the regular TV shows and see things develop and follow along, but when it comes time to lay the money down, they want to know what matches they're going to see.

Summerslam shouldn't be used for storyline development, it should be used for storyline conclusion. You want to use Raw to make people buy the PPV, not use the PPV to make people watch Raw.

best SD in a long time, and SD's consistently above average. especially love the Raw vid package, and an "about time" to them pulling what they did to Sheamus and Dragon. glad to see they're not ignoring the two very obviously good feuds that write themselves. hell i can't even say anything bad about Cody's new feud as it's perfect for where he needs to be.


edit: and the direction they've taken with Orton is honestly one of the better ones they could've done. guy was fairly stale (even more than usual) and his old 'anger management issues' were one of the few times when he was interesting in that brief feud with Vince. even that was done well. so 1 show set up a better setup for the championship feud, the IC, MITB, and gave a new babyface to deal with the monster. ....pretty awesome.

(and the video package was so good, especially as it makes Cena look kinda like an ass - going congrats to Rey and then fighting him later that night to win a belt that was wrong? to then be confronted by what was absolutely presented as the good guy?)

in this scenario, you arent JUST selling punk, but the finals of a world title tournament which should have been a much bigger deal than it was ( seriously aside from the finals only truthrey went more than 5 minute, just one night after a title bout went much much longer, kayfabe its tough to dal with), AND if not that youre selling childrens icon rey vs childrens icon john cena, which probably would have sold well.

the punk under current would have been for us.
