I got 59 out of 60 in like 7 minutes, but I had to give up because I couldn't remember the last instrument (banjo). I got "trombone" and "unidentified wind instrument" though.

Just got back from the official MLP convention at Hasbro headquarters today. Haven't uploaded the pictures yet but it was a pretty sweet deal. I got a huge Rainbow Dash plushie for $7 and some artists were taking commissions so I also got a Dashfire painting :3333

Edit: forgot, there was a Q&A session with a couple of Hasbro employees and they said that the official word on colts having more presence in the show, and colt toys, is "stay tuned." Take that as you will.

Started watching this recently, thoughts after watching through Winter Wrap-Up.

Pinkie Pie >>>> Twilight > Rarity > Fluttershy > Applejack >>>> Rainbow Dash

The four in the middle are extremely subject to change, but I really don't see the top or bottom of that ranking changing for the rest of the show. Pinkie Pie won me over hard in Griffon the Brush-Off. She just showed a complete and total understanding of people and how they react by managing to utterly destroy the griffon by suggesting to Rainbow Dash that they throw her a party with a lot of pranks then sitting back and watching the fireworks. Her average quality is always high, although if we want to talk about best moments Fluttershy will probably end up taking that (I've seen a few of them from future episodes through links). Rainbow Dash is pretty unsalvageable for me at this point, but hey there are maybe ten more episodes? That might change, or at the very least she might close the gap in terms of being easily worst pony.

About Winter Wrap-Up, I thought they did a great job with that episode, I liked the foreshadowing they threw in about Twilight being organized in the cold open (although I think they tipped their hand a bit when she specifically said how organized she is), but even better was the nest making scene with Rarity where she instantly has all of the materials sorted by color and type in 1.6 seconds. That was a nice touch.

Backtracking, I would have really liked an episode where they actually go to that Gala event that was the focus of Ticket Master. It seemed like the other ponies had some unrealistic expectations about how the thing would actually be, except possibly for Fluttershy (and possibly Applejack, maybe ponies are alright with apple vendors at high class events?), and I would have loved to see all of them go and find out that things weren't nearly like they thought. Rarity finds out that Celesita's nephew is hideously ugly and unlikeable, Pinkie Pie is completely unable to relate to high class ponies, Fluttershy finds a garden in tattered disrepair, no one wants Applejack's apples, and Rainbow Dash is escorted away by security for trying to interfere with a live event (or, more dramatically, succeeds and gets laughed at by the Wonderbolts). Twilight's having a good time, but eventually realizes everyone else isn't and leaves early after delivering a Friendship Report to Celesita in person. I'm thinking this episode is a bit too depressing, but I would have liked to have seen it.

I think that I would have liked this show more if I hadn't seen anyone talking about it before hand. My expectations were pretty high when I started watching, and when the show fell short I was a bit disappointed even though it really is pretty good. I'd heard nothing but wonderful things about the Winter Wrap-Up song, and when it finally came it was a mehish sort of moment. I mean, easily much better than you normally expect from a cartoon, especially these days, but nothing that I'd feel the need to listen to multiple times.

This show is definitely much more watchable than I thought it would be going into it. I still think it's slightly overrated, and I'll never understand how people love it so much. I had been thinking it would be my new standard for whether or not a cartoon is watchable, but as it went on I think that would be a bit too high in quality to use. This cartoon (combined with Adventure Time, I haven't watched an episode but from clips I've seen it looks good) gives me hope that the previous ten years will just be known as that one decade with god awful cartoons, and we're moving out that period.

I took that Sporcle quiz back when it was new (and you had to spell Owlowiscious correctly). Got everything but the tamborines and AJ/RD's voice actress. Also got the bonus trombone.

Last night CE got their 17th pony general topic to 500 in 4 hours and 40 minutes. The 18th was going almost 3 posts per minute until around 4 AM Eastern. They're just crazy though and fill the topics with random roleplaying and bizarreness.

Anyways, I got my friend who is visiting Singapore to get me a McDonald's Cheerilee (it was the only one they had : /). I really want a Pinkie/Rainbow, but Cheerilee does have some badass swag, and she has hipster/underrated quality, so I'm happy. I'm gonna try to make her get a Pinkie/Rainbow though still >__>
