As low as this game is on my list, it really doesn't convey just how underrated I think it is. While its marketing campaign totally misled the public as to just what kind of game it was, it still had a fantastic story and an awesome world, not to mention one of the best "killing the final boss" cutscenes of all-time. I wasn't sure how Jack Black was going to do in this role, but I really don't think there was anyone better to play Eddie Riggs, and Tim Curry makes for an amazing villain. I'm sure it's bargain bin by now, so if you're curious, I definitely recommend picking it up.
239. The Sims Bustin' Out - GCN
More Sims-on-console stuff. It added a lot to the Sims formula though, and really made the first one unplayable. There were so many new features that came in the installment, that made you wonder why the first game didn't have any of them. The progression was pretty neat, and the multiplayer was that much better. Lots of memories from this game.
I only rented this to play through it real quick with Nevest, and I'm probably glad that's all I did. Great story and co-op, but pretty short.
237. Wacky Wheels - PC
A PC version of Mario Kart, pretty much. I ****ing played this game all the time as a kid. The tiger was the best. Since no one else has probably heard of this:

Great gameplay mechanic, great world map, amazing music, there's not much this game doesn't offer for how cheap it is. If you've still never played this game, I would highly suggest doing so.
235. Monday Night Combat - 360
A game boasting a TF2 style class system with a unique kind of online multiplayer. Even with just the versus mode, it's well worth the money to splurge on, but get some friends together to try out the tower defense co-op, and it makes the deal that much better. Speaking of which, I recently showed this game off to a friend, and somehow beat my old record for waves survived. It was already in the hundreds, and I absolutely smashed it. **** yeah, son.
234. WarioWare D.I.Y. DS
While it's certainly the most unique WarioWare, I just don't have the creativity to play this game to its full potential. I uploaded a Tetris Attack microgame to Nintendo a long time ago, but never checked to see if it made it to other people's games or not. I should probably do that.

I know, I know. I've just been busy with work lately, and what time I've had off has been spent playing PSO. And it just occurred to me today that tomorrow is the first day of classes, so I decided to have one final lazy day before I'm stuck at school.
Before I decided to replay it, Swingerz Golf was actually the #240 game, so those of you who picked that, sorry to do this to you, but.....
233. Lost Odyssey - 360
Considering where FFX is going to be on my list, you would think Lost Odyssey would be up there somewhere close to it. However, every time I decide to play this game, something compels me not to. The first time I started it, I got Grand Theft Auto IV about a week later, when I was into Disc 2. When I started it back up again, I got Borderlands a few days later, into Disc 3. Since I gave Swingerz Golf special treatment, I decided to try Lost Odyssey again as well, to see if I could finish it off. I was on a train, and beat some ice monsters. Then it switched me to Seth and Tolsten, running through some back alleys, where I promptly got lost. Bleh, whatever. Didn't really have room to fit this into my write-up fluidly, but I'll just add this to the end. The dreams are some of the best-written short stories I've ever seen. I remember that one made me cry, not even kidding. So good.
I already had a tiebreaker planned, but this will also do nicely. While those who picked Swingerz Golf may feel jipped, I've decided to basically consider it a half-point, as you'll see indicated by an asterisk. That asterisk will give you the lead over those with the same amount of points without an asterisk.
For those that picked Pokemon Stadium, what were you guys thinking?! It's ****in' Pokemon Stadium!

As hyped as I was for this game, I was sure to be disappointed. I honestly wasn't expecting the game to be quite this bad. With all the insane dialogue I heard in the gameplay trailer, I was sure I would love it, if nothing else, but for the script. When I started the game, grabbed the whip, and started booting people into cacti and off cliffs, I wasn't sure just how good it was going to get. Then.... the game didn't really provide much more. It had some fantastic sequences (robot missile-launching T-Rex, anyone?), but the characters were pretty basic, the plot was laughable, and the gameplay mechanic wore off after a few hours. If they fleshed out the guns and whip a bit more, the game could have been a whole lot better.
231. Red Faction - PS2
I didn't get very far at all in this game's campaign mode, but the multiplayer was where all the fun was at, anyway. Getting the rocket launcher for the first time and blowing the **** out of everything in sight was some of the most fun gaming I've had with friends. The novelty wears off after a bit, but it was really damn fun for a while.
230. Red Dead Revolver - PS2
Man, I was down with the Red Dead series before it was cool. Oh, and also very good. Red Dead Revolver was not very good, but it was at least decent. Its main selling point was the ability to drastically slow down time and place pinpoints on enemies where you would then quickly shoot every spot you marked. It was really neat, and definitely picked the game up from being just another bland third-person shooter.
229. Metroid Fusion - GBA
Since Metroid Prime was actually my first try at a Metroid game, I figured I owed it to the series to try a 2D entry. Most shun the fact that the game doesn't reward exploration much, but personally, I'm fine with the game flat out telling you where to go. I always knew what direction I needed to head towards, at least, and spent minimal time wandering around. There were still some more obscure upgrades to go out of your way to find, and some that were in plain sight. For me, that was a good balance. Not one of the best games I played, but at least it served the series some justice, imo.
I've always loved the Empires games. And by always, I mean this was my first one, and it was pretty damn awesome. I loved the feel of trying to take over all of China with some item and officer management. I never could get my forces to be as strong as my neighbors, but considering the ****ing beast that was my created guy, I didn't really need anyone, let alone a whole army. >__>
227. Mario Superstar Baseball - GCN
You would think I'd have learned to quit getting snared by Mario sports titles by now, but I eventually caved and tried this out. You know, it's actually one of my favorite baseball games. Simple, yes, but also very endearing. There aren't many baseball games out there with a single-player mode like this one had. You quested as a main Mario character until you beat the other 6 main Mario characters out there's teams with your own drafted players. It was really fun, I have to admit. Lately, my niece has taken a liking to this game. Though unfortunately, by game, I mean its minigames. She makes people play them with her over and over and over again. I used to really enjoy playing Wall Ball.....

I was able to restrain myself from getting this until June 22nd of 2010. Anyone who knows what happened that day knows exactly why my friends and I then got this game. I was really impressed by how much it had improved over FIFA 2010. It felt a lot more fluid. The first thing we did was each pick a nation, and take them as far as we could. I picked Denmark, a friend of mine whose first time it was playing FIFA (Eric) picked Spain, another friend who was decent (Devin) picked the Netherlands, and my friend of who's a god damn FIFA maniac (Jeremy) picked Northern Ireland.
Three of us made it through qualifying, though I had to make a pretty good run at the end. Eric was out already. >__>
Then we got to group stages. None of us were drawn into the same group, so we were pretty excited to keep going, to see who would play each other first. I got the easiest draw, and went 3-0-0, while Jeremy lost to France in his group, and had to win his last two to advance. Devin got upset by Japan, and drew with some South American team, and was eliminated there.
Jeremy and I stormed through our respective first-round games, where the US lost to Brazil (FFFF-). I also blew through the quarterfinals, while Jeremy had to come from behind to knock off Mexico. Meanwhile, upstart Nigeria somehow beat England to also make the semifinals to play Jeremy, whereas I had to play ****in' Brazil.
Jeremy's game came first, and he was down 4-1 with about 10 minutes left. He got upset, and restarted the game, and next time, he came back from 2 down to win 3-2, with me laughing at him the whole time. Then for my game, I wasn't doing too well against Brazil, as they outclassed me in pretty much every way, but I was keeping them out of the back of the net. About 60 minutes through, I actually scored on a cross, and went crazy. I held on for as long as I could, but they finally equalized with about 10 minutes left, then put the nail in my coffin with just a few minutes left. Jeremy refused to let me restart (what a bunghole). In the final, somehow, Jeremy then beat Brazil 3-0 to win the World Cup as Northern Ireland. It should've been me in that final, but whatever, it was still a lot of fun.
We started another one with new teams right afterward, but then my friend's 2-year old daughter knocked over the 360 while we were playing, so that was the end of 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa. I keep looking for this game, because I know it will go back down in price eventually, but with just a month until FIFA 12, I suppose I should probably give up on it.
This was my first WWE game since Thunder, and BAH GAWD did it deliver. Some of the best, most ridiculous storylines, combined with some outrageous gameplay made for a pretty awesome wrestling game.
224. Kirby Super Star Ultra - DS
I never got to experience the original on SNES, so this was going to have to do. Unfortunately, as soon as I started playing, my niece took it away from me, and I didn't get to try again until about a year later. McNagah had started a playthrough topic, and was near where I was, so I asked if it was OK to share. I got so into the game, I was all the way through the Great Cave Offensive, and McNagah was still in the third "world". The bosses were some of the best in any game I've played, and the partner system was brilliant. I started to feel guilty, though, so I took a break so McNagah could catch up. He never did, the topic purged, and I never got around to playing KSSU again. Since then, my niece has once again claimed it as her own, so I probably never will.
223. Mario Kart Super Circuit - GBA
At this point in my life, I had never skipped out on a Nintendo console, and I didn't want to start then. However, both my birthday and Christmas were too far away, and I wanted a Game Boy Advance NOW. I had saved up my allowance, and asked if I could spend it on one, and my parents were happy to say yes. I checked out some games to go with it, and eventually settled on Mario Kart Super Circuit. I had just purchased my first gaming console with my own money, and I was really proud. I brought it home and promptly took it out and began my adventure. I was totally blown away. I had no idea a machine capable of 3D graphics and blaring sound could fit in the palm of my hand. I took it everywhere with me, playing all the while.
Now that I'm grown up, I'm aware that it was pretty much the worst Mario Kart to date, but back then, it was my first game for GBA, and I was very impressed.

Tomorrow's my birthday, woo. I didn't ask for anything other than money, but who knows if anyone got me anything neat anyway. However, tomorrow is poker night, in which case I definitely will not be updating tomorrow. Next update more than likely Friday night.

This game was ****ing amazing to start. I was a jedi and massacring dozens of people with my lightsaber and grenades and guns, and it was awesome. Get a friend with you and it's even better. Unfortunately, the novelty of the whole thing wears off after a while, and there's not much variety to keep you playing.
221. Top Spin 2 - 360
When I first got a 360, Best Buy was having a sale and this game came packaged with it. It was a really good tennis game, but I didn't buy a 360 to play tennis, so it didn't get a whole lot of playing time.
I've not passed up a single WarioWare game, and besides Party Games (which was simply a misunderstanding on my part), this was the one that came closest to disappointing me. And by that, I mean it still didn't come very close. I think it's because it was a console game. I expected more content than what I got out of Smooth Moves. WarioWare games are perfect for a handheld system, because they're great for a quick gaming fix; that's what they were designed for. However, for a console game, you're sat down and ready to game, and these games aren't well known for their longevity. In return, I expected a few more rounds of microgames, compared to its handheld counterparts. Instead, I got just as many. Oh well, those few games were plenty to have a good time. Also, it has Tomorrow Hill. No game with Tomorrow Hill can be bad.
A few months after Guitar Hero 2 came out, and seeing the crazy scores reviewers were giving it, I had to know what I was missing. I saved up some money and got both GH1 and 2, and two guitar controllers for PS2. Thus began my hundreds of dollars plunged into the rhythm genre of gaming. I was pretty floored.
I tried to start on Medium, as I do with any new game, but quickly found that wasn't going to work out so well for this one. I went back to Easy and made my way through the whole game. Before I moved on to GH2, I wanted to master this one, though, so then I went back through on Medium. I started a bit on hard, but my friend then told me I wouldn't have very much fun that way, and to start on GH2. I then realized how much GH1 actually sucked in terms of its note registration and only went back to play Bark at the Moon or More than a Feeling. I actually played the latter so much I got so I could play it on Medium blindfolded. My friends were pretty amazed. I don't think I could do that anymore, though.
218. Sid Meier's Pirates! - Xbox
One day, I was really bored, and a new game I was looking forward to was coming out in a week or two, so I wanted something to pass the time. I found this at the local Blockbuster and decided to give it a whirl. I was pleasantly surprised. It's definitely not your typical game, as there's no real way to beat it; you just go around being a pirate in whatever way you see fit. You can shoot down some ships, dance with the local nobles, sneak into places and rob them, all kinds of ****. Whatever you think entails being a pirate, you can probably do it. In this game, it works, though I'm probably glad I rented it, because it did start to get a bit old after a while.
