I was thinking of buying a Xenomorph. Then I asked around on the forums and people were like "Slimeling is better." Then some random awesome guy messages me in-game and says, "I saw your topic on the forums. Want a free Slimeling?" And now I have a Slimeling. It's really cute.

But yeah, Xenomorph looks good to me. Can't go wrong with a volleyfairy.

I'm trying to get an ittah bittah hookah ( http://kol.coldfront.net/thekolwiki/index.php/Ittah_bittah_hookah ) and was wondering if you guys could help me out. To get it, you need one item from each of the six classes. So I'll get one eventually regardless, but quicker if we work together.

You guys who play softcore might want one of your own (if you don't have it already) because it sure beats pulling separate equips for each familiar. Also free random buffs.

Here's how it works:
1. Buy and use a "drink me" potion from the mall.
2. Go to the rabbit hole in the plains.
3. Adventure in the Red Queen's garden until you get a reflection of a map.
4. Use the reflection of a map.
5. What you do after that depends on your class. Each of these adventures gets you the class-specific item.
-SC: Select "The Field of Strawberries," then "Find the walrus"
-TT: Select "The Croquet Grounds," then "Investigate the noise"
-P: Select "The Field of Strawberries," then "Trust your senses"
-S: Select "The Caucus Racetrack," then "Investigate the burst"
-DB: Select "The Croquet Grounds," then "Follow your hips"
-AT: Select "The Caucus Racetrack," then "Find a seat"
6. Cook the pastamancer and sauceror items together.
7. Once you have everything, adventure in the Red Queen's garden again to get another reflection of a map. (You can only get one per day, I think.)
8. Go to the Duchess's Cottage.

I already have the DB and AT items, and I'm picking up the SC item this ascension. If you guys are interested, then I can start picking up extra(s) to trade.

I don't need one Drak but I'd be willing to pick up the Pastamancer item on my next run. I'm planning on ascending once I get enough honey to finish the bits o' honey outfit. I need 10 more handfuls of honey.

Either way. Here's my rough plan for the next month:

SC softcore run (upgrade tao) - current run. hope to finish tonight after rollover.
AT softcore run (upgrade cocoon)
P hardcore bee run (upgrade entangling noodles + leash; perm something else)
S hardcore bee run (perm stuff that I'll decide on later; bank 100 karma)
TT softcore run (softcore perm shieldbutt + hero)

So I guess I'm completing the full circuit in any case. 300 karma for a single hivecore run is too good to pass up.

Mother hellseals are amazing for training. I went from level 14 to 18 last night just from beating them up (and I only spent like half my adventures there). Whenever I decide to get that level 30 SC trophy, it's going to be fast.

Tweaks to the plan. Noting them here so I don't forget.

- Ascending as a DB. (Funkslinging will enable me to get past the Shadow fight without needing to pull a scented massage oil. Also, I won't be using the class epic weapon at all -- see below.)
- Day 1: Replace the volleyball equip with set of jacks (off-hand, +2 mox/fight).
- Day 2: Replace the ocarina of space with world's smallest violin (one-handed weapon, +5 ML).

The plan for weapons: disco ball -> switch to a curdflinger as soon as I can make one (smith bowl of cottage cheese + dry noodles + stuff I can buy from NPC stores) -> switch to world's smallest violin at 60 mainstat. It's really hard to find good one-handed ranged weapons in-run.

Progress at end of day 1: I'm at level 7, and I need four moxie to reach level 8. Ballroom is unlocked. Cyrpt quest is mostly done (evil levels are 25/26/31/23). So it looks like I'm on schedule thus far.

Day 2 complete. I'm level 11 and midway through the MacGuffin quest (found the pyramid, cleared out the hidden city except for the boss). Things seem to be going well. The two things I'm most worried about are (1) lobsterfrogman RNG and (2) running out of pulls for tower items.

woo, made it!

3 days, 727 turns. Not a perfect ascension -- I was a dope and forgot to switch the ballroom song from -combat to +ML for the war. Still, I made it with 24 turns and 2 pulls to spare.
