I might take Joker, Hero, and Banjo over all the rest combined. FP1 came out swinging.

Pyra/Mythra and Sephiroth ended up being my two favorite characters to play as in the entire game, so I guess I'll just..... be the first vote for that option what the hell

Kinda surprised at the dominance, I don't even know which side to vote myself.

FP2 just has a lot I feel very strongly about, for good and bad reasons.... but Mythra is a character I really really wanted.

FP1 I kinda feel "fine" about across the board, with Banjo who is also an S-class pick.

It kinda feels like Banjo vs Mythra, where the latter wins.... but FP1 trounces FP2 in each equivalent match-up that isn't Mythra

Joker > Sora [a matchup of "I haven't actually played these games"]

... Byleth v Min Min actually kinda tricky, I like Min Min as a character but Byleth's moveset. If this was Edelgard that would solve this choice but...

There is also a distinct possibility that Sora ends up in my top 3 with Pyra and Sephiroth. He looks like the exact kind of character I would love to play.

Mostly even for me of the 2 characters I care about and I like Sora more than Joker. Voted 2 because I like Min Min and Pyra designs more than the rest of pass 1 too

I think Terry really leads that pack, but PP being included doesn't hurt.

FP1 all the way for me. But arguably base game newcomers > both for K. Rool and Ridley, who were basically my two most wanted

In terms of gameplay, Fighter Pass 1, and it's not even close.

In terms of characters...it's pretty even. Banjo and Steve kind of balance out the hype, which makes Piranha Plant the deciding factor. So 1 also wins.

Haven't bought any of the DLCs so I'm just going off of hype factor. The only characters whose games I have even played here are Banjo and Seph (not counting PP as he's not in the fighter's pass!). I hadn't played Banjo as of that reveal but it was still super fun, and Joker's was good in a 'this opens so many doors' kinda way. I think Steve is actually my fav addition of the rest, I'm not a Minecraft guy but it felt like a wacky fun off the wall pick like Duck Hunt or Wii Fit, while also being a big third party reveal.

But overall FP1 wins still. Sora was a fitting finale but Minmin and Pyra did nothing for me, Kazuya felt weirdly less big of a deal than he should have, and I dislike Sephiroth (decent reveal though, even if it was a waste of a space to make up for Cloud!).

I would take Joker by himself over FP2, but Joker is one of my all-time favorite characters. Without Joker I think I still lean FP1 because Dragon Quest is great and Steve sucks

I gotta give the edge to FP2 here, it's close, but aside from Banjo and kinda Joker the first pass does very little for me.

Well FP1 has 3/5 I like compared to FP2 having only 2/6 I like. However, I like those particular two more than the three in FP1, but FP2 also has the three worst inclusions, so... It's a draw.

Sora is probably my most wanted character

Joker and Kazuya I love

Banjo, Sephiroth and Steve are all characters notable enough that their inclusion is pretty huge

Hero, Terry and Min-Min I'm mostly neutral too, but they're interesting

Pyra/Mythra and Byleth are the only characters I didn't bother buying

Overall pass 2 gets the win

edit: funny how my 3 favorite DLC characters ended up being the first and then the last 2

Banjo is enough to win on his own, but Im more or less on board with all of FP1 and FP2 has some characters that Im not so into

FP2 has Pyra/Mythra, Sephiroth and Sora.
FP1 has to be carried by just Byleth.

I would probably like Joker a lot if I had played Persona 5 but I haven't yet. The only DQ game I've played is DQ5 and he's not part of Hero. I care very little for the other half of FP2 but the top half is too strong.

FP1 is all characters I have moderate interest in. FP2 has Sora and Sephiroth, two characters for which I have high interest, in the midst of characters I have little interest in. Hard choice. I'd probably choose FP1.
