Other than Nash, this whole bunch is in the same tier for me. Good, maybe great? But definitely not anything more than that. Ended up going with Kay, but it could've been any of them on any given day.

This is definitely the weakest R2 poll.

I've honestly been kinda surprised at the Fulbright love in both of his polls

I liked the idea of (Dual Destinies spoilers) the friendly detective being the big bad, but the way they went about it was so unsatisfying for me. The Phantom reveal didn't work at all because it's a completely different guy with no motivations and nothing connecting him to the personality we've spent that much time with. IDK, I know it's kinda the point, but the whole conclusion to 5-5 felt really emotionally distant to me.

Yeah, I honestly would've preferred something like The Phantom kills off and replaces Fulbright at some point between 5-3 and 5-4. I think it would've made the reveal land much better.

Voted Bobby Fulbright, but... *DD spoilers* It's really a vote for the Phantom. But yeah, if Bobby could just have stayed as Bobby, or if we had Leonhart's proposal, that would have been a lot better....

Really all they needed to do was kill off the real Fullbright between 5-2 and 5-3. Don't even re-write anything else. It makes the Phantom that much scarier since you can see that he impersonated Fullbright perfectly. (Which is something I don't think we'd get if they killed off the real Fullbright between 5-3 and 5-4.)

(DD) I've said this so many times but I agree. There's two ways they could have done it better - either have the Phantom kill off the real Bobby Fulbright at some point before the final case, so that we're emotionally invested in Fulbright's death, or just have the phantom BE Bobby Fulbright, not some sort of nameless, faceless entity, and that way we're emotionally invested in his betrayal. The way they did it has absolutely no emotional punch whatsoever and it's boring. He doesn't even feel like an evil bad guy and I don't feel betrayed, I'm just like, oh.

I've got a preliminary bracket made using the current results (which could change slightly depending on how many more votes Ema gets), and we've got some fun potential matchups!

Oh right, killing off Fulbright between 5-3 and 5-4 would make the DLC case kind of an interesting situation because it would be the real Fulbright in 5-6
