Teutons, Spanish, and Malay are my top 3!

Teutons has the best architecture style and man, Teutonic Knights are just so cool and imposing, even if they're slower than a turtle.

I like using monks, so the Spanish missionaries are nice to have. The Consquistadors are also really cool.

As for Malays, I'm a bit biased since I'm basically Malay too. But amassing Karambit Warriors is fun.

Shout out to the Japanese, Huns, and Italians too.

The only expansion I played was The Conquerors. I think I liked the Spanish and Byzantines about equally and it's been a long time since I played the game at all.

I'll just give it to the Spanish.

As of my recent play experience I really like the Saracens. Mamelukes and Camels make for such an interesting duo of unit to just spam out. I still haven't really played any of the DLC to the Standard version that was made free for Definitive yet though. I need a few longer sessions with civs like the Koreans since I like both of their unique units and then especially later expansions and DLC to the Definitive Edition.

Been playing as Khmer lately when my friend's crew plays and, as the "elephant in the room" since way back, I'm loving that.

Also, who wants to do a B8 AOE2 sesh sometime?

while a hefty amount of my irl friends have played a lot of aoe2 tbh (maybe unusually for my age i just was in a clique that was big on doing lan parties around 10 years ago and rtses happened a lot partially since i at least had bad laptops to use so FPSes were often out) but i gravitated mainly towards rise of nations instead

i think i mainly played aztecs/mayans/japanese/persians, not sure if i even played the later expansions at all even if we did do hd edition usually
