A very small preview and only for a couple characters, but this is our first look at what some of them sound like.

They all sound perfectly fine to me. Did not expect to be saying that.

They all do fairly solid impressions of the original VAs except Akihiko

Sounds great. A mix of just like the original (Mitsuru), much improved (Fuuka) and different, but still good (the rest).

The big difference with Mitsuru is actually trying to pronounce the French correctly haha.

Ill need to hear more from Akihiko, but I hope his new VA can at least nail the Ive been waiting for this! line because failing that is just failing Akihiko

When P4 recast VAs, the VAs always tried to do impressions of the older VAs instead of doing their own thing and it was usually a flop. Most notably Erin Fitzgerald, who is a great VA but her Chie is a mess.

This however, is nearly indistinguishable. For most of these voice lines, if I didn't already know otherwise I'd say they got the cast back. Junpei maybe the only exception since I've heard so much Folgado this year, but it's still close. Uhhhh and Fuuka but like.....yeah...

Can't wait to hear what Kotone sounds like.

The new character portraits are really nice too. Fuuka looks even cuter and now Im curious how her updated deer in headlights portrait is going to look

Junpei and Akihiko do sound a bit different but they nailed the tone, mannerism, breathing. If you didn't know it was new VAs you prob wouldn't guess. The graphics are damn good too.

Someone that does a good Junpei and isn't Vic? Hell yea let's go

Voices sound great! I honestly wasn't too worried after seeing the cast list but it's always good to actually hear it. The current generation of English VAs is just ridiculously solid all around.

They actually had him say that line during the P3 Reload panel at AX, but the delivery was much different than what we're used to. But that could be because it was in the moment and might still sound different in-game.

Sounds good.

This is only sort of related, but Fuuka is such an odd character to me. Definitely the least memorable navigator, always has a completely new voice, and in Arena Ultimax, I think she's the only P3 and P4 character of any importance not to be playable? Even Rise gets to fight while narrating her own battles for some reason.

Fuuka is easily my favorite navigator
