Board 8 > Anyone watching The Bear Season 2? (no spoilers)

So first off if you aren't watching The Bear, go out of your way to immediately start watching The Bear. But anyone watching the newest season? I just got through the Christmas episode which was one of the best and most intense episodes of TV I've sat through. I think this newest season has been outstanding, but not in the same way as season 1.

might check it out in several weeks. partner is easily stressed out by it and after work usually doesn't want that noise. though if she decides to drop the show i'll very likely watch it sooner...!

I binged both seasons over the weekend because I was sick. It's good stuff! Episode-for-episode, season 2 is the stronger season since 1 drags a bit in the middle, but I still feel like 1 is stronger overall because the beginning and end are SO good, basically perfect and could have just ended the show there.

Christmas episode is an all timer and the finale is excellent too.

My only complaint is that I really do not like .the love interest they introduce for Carmy. I get what they're going for, but she is just so much flatter and less "real" than literally every other character and the actors have negative chemistry with each other. Maybe this is part of the point there going for, but I just find her impossible to care about, she is pure fodder for Carmy's arc

I don't want to say that was the best Christmas episode of a show but I'm struggling to think of a better one (HM to Community and Louie)

I'm two episodes into season 2. Season 1 was great.

Definitely loved it more than season 1. Such a great season with some awesome development for some of the characters. Favorite episodes are Honeydew and Forks. Love the development on Richie especially.

Amazing the line the show walks with Richie; I feel as though I've come to understand so much about who he is and what makes him tick that they've won me over. He might well end up on my character of the year list with this combination of writing and performance.

Yeah they really knocked it out of the park with him in Season 2.

I went from disliking him in season 1 to actively rooting for him in season 2.

This show is so ridiculously good

Yeah, this season was a fantastic watch.

It was amazing watching a show that was clearly the Bear and yet so different.

I wouldn't say post-Christmas was better. It was also top-tier, but in an exact opposite way than Christmas was

idk if any single episode tops Review but there are several that are very close

Four episodes in this season were in the running to be the best episodes of the year of any television show - I would agree the Review is still the best of the bunch out of this show so far, but I mean, the quality this season was somehow even better than last season. From start to finish, one of the most quality television seasons in recent memory.

Plus, they did the living-on-a-boat-in-Holland thing ten times better than Ted Lasso in the same year.

As someone who works in fine dining, this show gives me ptsd and I can't watch it because it stresses me out.

So yeah, it's fantastic.

Richies episode was so great

But the finale was fucking brutal dude
