they make a new Episodes 7, 8 and 9 that erase the older ones. In the new Episode 7, it is set only 20 years after Return of the Jedi. They get new younger actors for all the characters

Nah. There's something very satisfying about joining in on a global hate train for the ST.

Same chance of GOT season 8 getting remade, but I wouldnt put it past them to have at least discussed the idea.

Not putting care into production of the story was one of the worst financial decisions ever for any company. The movies made enough money, but destroyed any hype for future movies and greatly reduced the number of merchandise sold which is a big source of revenue.

I still wouldn't trust Disney to handle it.

Theres no need to retcon, they suck but the galaxy is at a clean slate afterwards. Go forward, don't tie to the past anymore

They gotta live with their mistakes. A lot of good has come from the PT world-building, so Disney should work on building a lot of stuff around the ST. That could help bring up the ST in people's eyes in the same way the PT is looked back at now.

TLJ Reconed most of TFA so it wouldn't be new.

They should remake the sequels except this time use Lucas's goofy "whills" idea

The reason the mcu has been successful is because it doesnt retcon out weaker entries. In fact builds on them.

The galaxy is a blank slate, go from there

There is no retroactively fixing the ST. There is barely any world to build upon and even if they did, the trilogy is still inconsistent and bad. It definitely needs to be taken out of the canon.

Everyone thought the galaxy was a clean slate after episode 6 too. They could pull it off.

They need to just make Grogu the main for 10 11 and 12

i wouldn't be surprised if they did it. i'd wait and see what the reception is like and probably watch at least the first one if they're well received.

It would be a really dumb decision, and a good way to just flush an entire expensive trilogy down the drain - no matter how flawed it was.

The best thing to do is just use the expanded media to elevate what sucked about it just like Clone Wars did with the prequel trilogy.

I think whatever bits of Luke we get in Mandalorian and Ahsoka are enough post-RotJ material involving the original characters. It's a big galaxy. Time to move on to other stories.

Huge surprise since normal people paid a lot of money to watch them and it's only salty nerds who really hate them.

They could easily do it like how they did it in Mortal Kombat 9. Luke gets visions of the future and has to change it. It keeps the Sequel Trilogy cannon but more of a dark result.

This way they dont have the albatross that is the ST to lead up to. The ST added nothing. We barely even got new ships or anything cool outside of Kylo Rens lightsaber.

They fucked up the ST. Its just a jumbled mess that was rushed with no direction. And they have even admitted that. Black boxes were brought up and we still dont have answers. And we didnt even get a good new villain. Who are the knights of ren? Why is he called Kylo Ren? I know there was a comic but I read the first couple issues and it made zero sense.

There is nothing building on that segment of the Star Wars universe now either. So while yes they could tell stories about itbut they arent.

Just have the next star wars set decades after rise of skywalker so everyone minus grogu is aged out
