Welcome to another edition of Save That. CE has spoken, and Sci-Fi Characters has been deemed the next subject.

You can nominate up to eight sci-fi characters from any genre, drama, action, comedy, horror, etc. from all forms of media. This time around, I am restricting three characters per franchise, per poster.

I'm looking for at least 100 entries, but I will go as high as 120. If there are more than 120 nominations, a Round Zero will be implemented to cut it down to 120.

Please note, when nominating you must put what game, movie, anime, etc. no matter how obvious it is, or I will not accept it.

If you wanted to call Bishop or Cable sci-fi since they're time travelers form the future with laser guns, cybernetics, etc. I could see that but Gambit doesn't really fit the theme.

The X-Men is a science fiction series. Gambit himself doesn't have science fiction properties, but he is a character in a science fiction series, which is enough to qualify him

He can kinetically charge any inanimate object, he just prefers cards. Considering people irl can't charge objects and make them explode with their hand, I consider it science fiction. It's fine to leave off if you want though, it's not a big deal.

Regarding Gambit, everyone makes good points, and I looked around, and a lot of sources considers X-men to be Sci-Fi. So, Gambit is back in.

I know how Gambit's powers work. I still think he thematically doesn't fit, but I've been outvoted & that's fine.

I never considered the X-Men sci-fi personally. While there are elements of that, there are also fantasy, supernatural, & horror elements. Comics tend to be a mishmash like that-- you could call the Avengers sci-fi, and if you nominated someone like Iron Man I wouldn't balk.

I counted 8 Star Wars characters on the list, 9 nominations total including Yoda getting nominated twice. It's funny that the rule was put in with Star Wars in mind, yet it's actually Star Trek (11 characters, 14 nominations total) that's leading the way and Mass Effect also has 8 characters nominated.
