I buy whatever sneakers that are cheap and comfortable, and wear them for a long time.

nike air walking shoes (black). they're extremely comfortable compared to some cheaper shoes I had been wearing, but they also squeak a hell of a lot after a couple months of use. (something to do with the "air" part I think; plastic air compartments that crack open after a while and then the air make sounds as you walk? not sure.)

Why would anyone call shoes "sneakers"?

I had a pair of cheapo athletic sneakers from Costco that I wore when I did my daily exercise, but they wore out really fast. Burned through 2 pairs of Sketchers walking shoes in a couple months as well. Now I'm on a pair of Khombu hiking boots that I bought less than 2 months ago. These were the cheapest shoes I think I've ever bought ($16 after sales tax) and the soles are already showing wear.

I wonder if more expensive shoes would last longer.

Vans are for skating right? Wouldn't Etnies and a few others be in the same category? Like I think DC is another one.

But regular athletic ones (Saucony), but I were laceless footwear more lately.

I think my Eccos are Sneaker model.

Whats the difference between 2 and 3

Safety shoes, the kind with the steel plate along the bottom (between the insole and the sole) and the composite carbon toe cover (or steel cap, whichever)

When I'm at home I wear a pair of adidas from time to time (doing the dishes or vacuuming or other chores) but if I go outside I'm putting on the safety shoes, sometimes the the full safety boot if I need the ankle support.

Yea, I got some as well, Dickies brand to be exact, but they need replacing.

Velcro. I don't like dealing with shoelaces even if I do just tie them once and slip them on and off as needed.
