All health experts agree that omicron will infect basically EVERYONE at some point and for those that never get it are extremely lucky and were very careful or well protected while everyone else who got it are the unfortunate majority...

This also kills the chances of herd immunity or killing the virus completely as the virus has already adapted to the world enough to mutate and will likely mutate in the future though the hope is the world can have enough antibodies and vaccines by then to deal with it much like the flu but this is here to stay and hopefully hospitals won't be overwhelmed in the next wave

I got tested 8 times and never got a positive, but I was sick in February and March of 2020 a couple times and it seemed unusual. Never lost my sense of taste or smell though. One of my brothers got it and it nearly killed him. He has sleep apnea now and has to use oxygen treatments on the weekends. I am triple vaxxed plus flu shot and still nothing. The 2nd shot gave me blood clots and chest pains. So did the last. But they seem to go away.

My guess? I'll have a heart attack and die after the 10th shot, the world pop will go from 7.7b to 0.3 billion and the news will say, "Whelp, at least anthropogenic warming isn't happening nearly as much." People will live like pagans for a while, then some assholes will take over and repeat it all again by 2500, and on and on and on. The one day the aliens will lose patience and zap us all.

Honestly I just want an HD remaster and polishing of Morrowind on PS5 and I'll be just fine though.

Would love to cash in on my free 2 weeks off but im the only one in my office that hasnt gotten it yet sadly. I did get sick during a breakout of it here but despite multiple tests of a couple different types i never tested positive.

I do still have hope though.

I'm pretty sure my whole family got it in the first wave in my state (right when the pandemic was starting). Dad went to the doctors and about 10-12 days later the whole family got super sick with something that matched most of the symptoms. We would have gone in but we were too scared that we might get COVID if we went in for what might just be the flu to risk it (fear does weird things to your thought process).

So my whole family may or may not have already suffered through it way back in, like, Feb 2020.

I haven't been sick at all since the pandemic started.

I have been fortunate and lucky in that I have no had it but I have had friends and relatives who have had it and thankfully none of them needed to be put on a respirator.

Since 2020, I've limited my exposure to crowds and I wear a mask everywhere I go and I do not allow people in my house without a mask period and that includes fam and friends.

I sent in my work provided test kit and the Mrs waited in line for a hour and a half despite having an appointment to get tested

We get our results in a coupla days

I may have had COVID-19 when it first came out and before it was known. During the holidays of 2019 I was sick with a sore throat, runny and stuffy nose, fever, and aches, chills, and weakness in the limbs. Some of the symptoms dragged into January 2020 when I started to cough, which lasted for at least 2 weeks. Then I had dizziness.

I think my whole family just got omicron but we were all fully vaccinated and boosted.
I just had a sore throat and general achy feeling for a few days.

My results came back, I tested positive

Another 2 weeks off on top of the 3 I just took

No, thank Christ, we prove against it by probiotics, sanitation, and nutrition. Most family are in the hospital setting but they haven't gotten it.

Anyone remember the gamefaqs user dancer62? She posted here a lot. She was in her 70's and she just vanished off the site at the beginning of the pandemic. I always wondered if she got covid.

Nope. Pretty sure that if I had done, I'd have infected my wife -- which would have killed her or put her seriously ill in hospital, because she has a number of autoimmune disorders that stack the chips against her. Christ knows what the longer-term picture's going to be like.

If I make it to June, it will have officially been 4 years since I have had any kind of cold/flu/whatever. At this point, I imagine my immune system will be shot to shit because it hasn't had to fight anything.

I think I got it before it was big news. Sickest I had felt since I was 12 and had bronchitis qnd pre pneumonia at the same time.

Since then work has been trying like hell to see that I get it but if I've gotten it it's been asymptomatic. Wherever covid rears it's ugly head at work is where they stick me. Pisses me off I'm not the only vaccinated employee
