I almost jumped in on what you said last night but I said "Nah I don't really want to get into an argument with Lasa of all people." And then when you started using silly arguments about it when I'm a pretty huge comic buff, I decided to jump in.

this... completely proves my point? what do you think they're trying to say with the "pseudonyms are often used" line? they're clearly saying "michelle is just a pseudonym used for the character during production, the character is going to be called mary jane in the movie." which is false, as we now know.

They definitely made an incorrect conclusion in that article, but it was because of preconceived notions that most people would share, while the information they had was completely correct. Your assertion was that they aren't a good new source because of that Zendaya article where they reported something incorrectly - but their info was good, and their incorrect conclusion was fair and just looks humourous in hindsight with the facts as we now know them. That article is a bad example of poor reporting from them. That you are continuing to argue the point just makes you look less reasonable, like you are somehow actually unable to reconcile the facts of that article. Take care.

yes, and in the literal next post i gave a different example and said that i "didn't really care about the MJ example," so...? seriously don't get why you're trying to paint the discussion as if the MJ example was my entire argument for saying the wrap is not good. like, even if the MJ story was total bullshit and zendaya were called gwen stacey in the movies, i still wouldn't have attacked the wrap if that were the only thing they ever got wrong. obviously, every news outlet gets a story wrong from time to time.

alright, i will admit that there were certainly major problems with my MJ example. i completely forgot about the "call me MJ" scene in homecoming. and i didn't realize that stan lee and james gunn - as well as several perfectly credible news sources - also reported that zendaya was going to play mary jane at the time. so yeah, even if the story had been total bullshit, i can't really call out the wrap on this one. if infowars reports something, i can't specifically call them out if reuters also reports the same thing.

i sincerely apologize for being so condescending and confident in my stances when i shouldn't have been. i totally screwed up on this one. i will try to do better.

(the people who thought it was necessary to insult and belittle me over this can still fuck off, though)

I dealt with far worse than youre a fucking idiot who cant read almost every day in 6th grade, and I handled it better than you are now as an adult (at least I assume youre an adult).

Look the other way and realize that what other people say about you doesnt matter. You dont need to break into a wall of fuck offs every time someone says something you dont like. You could simply close the topic and go about your day like most of us seem to do.
