Like, it's been established that his super hearing means that he's pretty much always bombarded by calls for help. So he's basically standing there holding a sign at a protest aware of the fact that there are probably people who need actual rescuing within range that he's ignoring. Like, imagine you're trapped in a burning building and Superman doesn't come to rescue you cuz he's at his school climate protest. It's one of the reasons why street level heroes are generally so much more effective at this kind of messaging. Not only are they much closer to the people who are legitimately affected by it, but they're not playing double duty with planet or reality destroying threats.
