Take WingsOfRedemption for example. He spends all of his streams complaining about how he hates streaming, depressed all the time, wants to quit and get a job, which would probably be for the best if he would just do that already. He clearly doesn't appreciate his followers either that he makes money off of

People will give money to anything. A good 40-60% or so of people I would wager are just total jackwagons and have no clue what they are doing at all.

I gave up on Twitch after the guy I regularly tuned in for verbally let a girl 10 years his minor have it in the back seat of a taxi after she gave out her instagram info to guys at a bar while he was paying their bill

I unironically think the majority of donated money to any twitch streamer comes from autistic people. I think it preys on people who have very few social outlets and fewer social skills. They think they're getting some sort of friendship/relationship out of being a recognizeable donater, so the more they donate the more they become recognized by the streamer (which makes them think they're 'friends').

I'm fine throwing a few ducets to content creators every once in a while, but I would guess the majority of money transacted on twitch comes from a relative few 'whales'.

There are also different subscriptions you can buy, I didnt mind kicking in $5 a month, most of the chats were pretty cool

I always thought DSP was like a Persona, he doesn't seem like he's dumb enough to keep doing the shit he does on accident but it gets him so much attention from idiots who think he's serious and love to get frustrated by other people for some reason. He seems too functional for it to not be fake, you can hear it in his voice.

Wings on the other hand seems very real in his idiocy and lack of awareness, he's had so many people try to genuinely be nice and help him out but he throws it all out the window and continues self-destructive tendencies.

I will admit they are pretty good lolcows though.

Yeah, pretty much both fanbases hate watch them. I would say that DSP is a far worse gamer, while Wings primarily gets trolled all the time in game and even irl. I get the feeling the Wings hates streaming way more, but the money is too good for to pass up,.so he is stuck in limbo hating what he does, but being unable to change
