WTF was wrong with this post? What "bad word" did I say? Why doesn't youtube provide a list of the "bad words" that get your post auto-deleted by the algorithm within 10 seconds?
I'm so fucking sick of this shit! Most of my comments get erased from existence even though I don't swear or use hate speech or anything. They're not in any of the sections for comments under review or anything, they just cease to exist!
The above is the only visual proof I can even offer, by trying to edit the comment and getting the "Returned Error" red text when trying to save the edit (and then after canceling, comment goes bye-bye.
If I simply reload the video's page or switch the comments to list newest first, my comment is already gone.

I've dealt with this bs for months, but this one really irks me because there's NOTHING in there. Like, last year I had a post removed by the algorithm until I changed "censorship" to "sense of ship", which is already terrible. But...WTF? I even avoided saying "murder" despite one of the top comments saying it, another top comment had "shot in the back", etc... (the video is about Stand Your Ground laws)

Does anyone else have these problems w/ youtube?

Yeah the ways you have to talk to get around youtube's censorship is stupid. Instead of saying "shot" say "force multiplied"

Join the fucking club. They're trying to child-proof the entire site or some shit. Can't count how many times I wrote a long, thoughtful comment and proofread it before posting, only to have it silently deleted. No reason given. Supposedly there is a list out there of words and phrases to avoid.

They don't even tell the actual content producers what their algorithm uses to demonetize videos or what they're supposed to be doing to remain "acceptable", they certainly don't give even the remotest of shits about you as as mere commenter.

YouTube is basically run by a ton of defective bots with a few chucklefuck monkeys at the top occasionally wiping their feces on a monitor.

Because it's fucking annoying to type something out, have it depicted as being posted, and then find out later it got deleted and have no clue why?

Im constantly saying here that YouTube is the last place you can actually get away with saying whatever you want. Not sure whats going on for you.

"Returned Error" I think can mean that you've left the page open long enough for your connection to the server from that page to expire. You might also notice comments fail to load in that case. Try reloading the video page and posting the comment. (In general a good idea to compose long comments in notepad or something so that the webpage doesn't lose what you're writing on you.)

that's probably the channel, not youtube. I pointed out that a certain channel was using DK Jungle Japes theme as their intro and my comments kept disappearing. that channel says that the delete anything that "isn't relevant to the video".

No, the comment shows on my end as being posted, and gives me the option to edit it.
But if I reload the page or edit it, it's gone. It's clearly the algorithm wiping it out.
I've even checked the # of comments at the top of the section and seen it decrease by 1 once I reload the page to find my comment gone.
And yeah, I try re-posting it. Happens every time. Sometimes I try to trouble shoot by pasting one line at a time to figure out which one(s) causes the problem, but that's really tiresome. Plus the more you re-post the same comment, the more likely youtube is to think you're a bot/spammer, so you just can't win.

It's definitely not the channel doing it. It's happened to me on all sorts of channels, including some that are politically incorrect and don't give a shit about language used.
And again, if you look at the top comments in that very video, there are people using the word "murder", mentioning that the psycho w/ a gun "shot them in the back", and so on. So it's not even a uniform enforcement / tied to specific bad words (which really aren't, but you know...). Literally some users have more freedom of speech than others.

reading about it, supposedly any comment with bad language is automatically not shown until the channel authorizes it, and many channels don't even know they have a comment queue to go through

Not really. Criticizing something as vapid doesn't = authoritarian. If your definition of censorship and loss of First Amendment rights has anything to do with private corporations respecting your rights, you'll never get diddly-squat. You're stuck on their platform whining about their rules. You're probably voting for people that will never reign in private corporations, no matter how much lip-service they pay to it. Commenting does not equal action. It equals little in terms of effecting authoritarianism. Twitter-politics represents a small part of the population that overinflates their influence on society at large. Commenting on YouTube is probably even more pointless than Twitter. Meanwhile, we're on PotD - even less relevant to reality.
