Based on what I'm reading about the actual details of the scenario, he's kind of an idiot for shooting a gun in a school zone, but the other guy involved is also apparently a grade-a asshole, stalker, and attention whore, so he seems like the kind of person who probably deserved to get shot.

Cops generally don't care about trespassing unless they are called by the owner and you still are there. They certainly aren't going to extradite someone for it.

I don't expect the courts to be too sympathetic to a stalker who calls himself Frank Hassle (which is not the name his mother gave him). But discharging when there isn't a clear danger, into the air, in a school zone, are three huge no-nos. Even, presenting a firearm before there's a clear need to shoot is getting into dicey territory both legally and tactically.

Stalking public figures is pretty much never charged. I mean you got professional stalkers called paparazzi for crying out loud and as long as they aren't being violent there isn't much you can do. Boogie was the one that crossed the line both on the Keemstar interview when he stated he would shoot Hassle if he ever came near him as well as the physical confrontation when he shot the warning shot.

Childish insults are protected under the first amendment. Boogie would have to fear for his life from Frank for there to be anything and it is a hard case to make when Boogie is making the threats and Boogie is the one with the gun and Boogie is the one the was locked safely in his house but chose to confront Frank

I guess if there is any just deserts for Frank, he did get banned off YouTube although he popped off from this scandal, so it probably was worth it for him

actually in the US its much easier to avoid charges if you shoot and kill the victim compared to being armed but not firing the weapon

I agree with that, but you aren't going to avoid murder charges when you threaten to a kill a person 50 times on a podcast, invite him to your home and once he is there you shoot the guy that is just being annoying on your doorstep. Oh, by the way you are recording all this stuff, so it is not like you can lie ex post facto about Frank's actions. He definitely would've been convicted if he shot Frank

I'm not a lawyer, but it's worth noting that the first amendment has limits and doesn't cover harassment. I have no idea if coming onto private property and shouting insulting taunts and being vaguely threatening meets the criteria for harassment, but at the very least the dude would be trespassing if Boogie asked him to leave.
