Board 8 > Every have a terrible partner for a college class project?

Currently halfway through my Masters, and I have a partner who has been horrible at communication and has done none of the work for a project we were supposed to work ok for the past month and a half. Deadline is in 10 days.

First time I ever encountered this in college.

I believe I've had one group class project (outside of like labs which don't count). One of the kids was a business major for some reason but it went p smooth

Almost all of my partners in class projects were terrible. Can count the good ones on a single hand.

No, never! Every group project I've ever been a part of has been great! Yeah just fucking kidding, I've literally never had a group project where there wasn't at least one person who just straight up refused to do any part of the work. Literally not once.

I'm actually surprised you first met a slacker at the Masters level

My college experience was they started crappily and progressively got better over time with my senior year project having an actual legitimate good team

Well actually by far my worst team was as a junior (was basically all four people working completely independently but we got it done I guess?) but that one aside

I was the bad partner once. I lost my job during the class, and that threw everything out of whack for me. I'd worked on the presentation just fine (except that the instructor called my part "fluff", fucking asshole), but after getting fired I was a mess and couldn't get my act together. I managed to provide the group with something, but it was clear I hadn't made any friends.

EDIT: The project consisted of the presentation and a written report.

I was once given the assignment to make a powerpoint slideshow with a guy. I didn't even know the guy, but I knew he was useless, so I made the entire thing by myself and sent it to him to okay.

I can only remember one group project I had in college (not counting lab classes) and it went fine (for a bioengineering class I randomly took). Actually iirc the other guy ended up doing most of it well ahead of the deadline, and when I contacted him to coordinate there was little left for me to do!
