We kinda knew this already but good to see 2020 hasn't totally upended some parts of society. There's something to be said for consistency.

Christians supporting Trump as being the most in line with their values really underscores how positively ludicrous football politics have become.

Anyone who supports Trump is not Christian. Whatever your subjective opinions on Trump are, the objective truth is his views and political agendas are not in line with Christ.
claiming otherwise is a blatant lie that can easily be disproven by reading even a small fraction of the bible.

Maybe on a personal level, but Trump's policies are far more in line with Christianity than Biden's (although I suspect much of it is just lip service). If you're a Christian, who are you going to support? A president who might have a checkered personal history, but vows to fight abortion and stands with the church on many issues? Or the guy who was in an administration that supported suing Christian business owners for wanting to exercise their religious beliefs and ardently advocates abortion? As everything else in politics, it's clearer the matter of being the lesser of two evils. And Trump is a much more staunch supporter of the church than some previous Republican candidates.

The world's most popular Christian magazine came out against Trump at the end of 2019. It's the first time the magazine has ever directly opposed a Republican president.

In this post: The most important Christian values a president can support are being anti-abortion and discrimination against gay people. Never mind any of that "love your neighbour" or "support the poor" nonsense, nor that a sizable percentage of Christian denominations don't particularly value being anti-abortion (or at least, don't want it to be illegal, which is really the only sensible position) and are actively accepting of gay people.

Wow dude, you think christian values are just anti-choice and homophobia? Wow, you want to argue that people who care about christian values love a guy who is a monument to sin, fuck that checkered past you know he is a god damned walking representation of unrepentant sin.

They're fucking hypocrites stop acting like they have some validity to it. They pervert the teachings of Christianity to support however they feel at any given moment.

Depends heavily on the Christian group, people try to treat them like some monolithic thing but there are vastly different sects and styles of worship. They all might use a similar bible but they can vary in a lot of other ways.

Now Catholicism is another matter since the Pope is the supreme being of that faith they are usually all very similar.

I was only talking about the people who think everything they do is done with the support of God even through they fight tooth and nail against every value propped up in the bible.
