N95's help prevent the wearer from catching it. Anyway, I have no idea how that car is setup. If there is a divider between the front and back seats then great. If not then it's a pretty douche move to go out like that.

Because this is one risk that is completely optional. He COULD have just followed the usual recommendation of just staying in bed & resting. The coordination to make such a move even semi reasonable just shouldn't be happening. It's a danger to himself & others.
