My leg goes from a dull ache to a severe throb pretty much all day every day now, and its not likely to get any better. If I'm stuck with it for life, I'm going to have something I like.

probably just gonna get a standard antler cane as well for court visits and airports and shit, but thats less exciting.

I am still sort of weighing my options and seeing if any other designs jump out at me.

what would you want on your cane? Theres no way i can cover the options in a poll so i guess post or don't.

I had a wolf head cane once, and I have 2 walking sticks one with a wolf and one with a bear head.

I think long ago I had a dragon cane as well, but I barely remember it.

If I ever ACTUALLY need a cane, I don't know what I'll go with. The staves/walking sticks I have are useful if hiking (but I don't really need them), can be used as a weapon in a pinch (I practiced with the bo like oh 35 years ago for awhile), and are pretty light/easy to carry around.

I think one of my canes also had a sword in it actually, or it was a friends that did. I really can't remember all the stuff I used to have anymore. I do vaguely remember sneaking in Nun-chucks from mexico and the border guards finding em when they searched the car...but luckily they just let us cross with em (I was like 15 hehe). I might have gotten a few canes in one of my mexico trips as well.

If you want a sword/gun cane, you should get a handle that works with such a design.

Anyway... herm...

If I had a cane with an orb handle, I'd want a labradorite orb.

For a more carved handle, I'd want a bat or phoenix motif, or maybe an ax or telescope handle; I've seen those before, they're kinda cool. Dragons are neat but they're overdone.

I typically wear a glove on my cane hand to prevent chafing. I have yet to find any sort of cane grip that is still comfortable after hours of use, so I just dont grip it with skin.

You know, I actually wouldnt be opposed to a cane that had a nice plump ass or some major bewbage for a handle, but these dudes are a little to fancy pants to make me something like that.

If you just want one for giggles, go ahead.

A sword cane usually sucks at being both a cane, and a sword.

A gun cane usually sucks at being both a cane and a gun.

If you legit want them for defensive purpose, they are an extra bad idea, as deploying them will deprive you of the cane aspect you actually need. You would be far better off with just a pimp ass well made cane, and a handgun on whichever side you don't use the cane on.

Also cane guns are NFA items, which makes them a headache to get, and travel between states with.

Used a lot of cane swords and cane guns in your time have you?

I have a concealed carry license, and I carry a glock in a shoulder holster pretty much any time I am out.

And you must have missed the part where I am getting a standard cane with an antler handle for trips where the gun or stiletto would not be allowed.
