At one point in the episode we talk about the awesome meme images people made during the Bloodborne match, and after looking up who made them I believe attributed the Peanuts images to the wrong person. MechanicalWall made them, and I want to give him due credit for the chuckles.

On the note of KP calling this a 2005 match, I feel like the poll delay was straight out of 2002. When was the last time we had the start time of a match significantly delayed like this? We had a short delay on Undertale vs. Octopath, but that was a drop in the hat compared to a 2 hour and 10 minute delay.

I feel like there was like a 30 minute delay in 2008 for Ganondorf/Frog/KOS-MOS/Neku.

I feel like a subreddit abandoning a rally mid-contest was an inevitability after a while. Every entity that has rode a mega-rally to victory always ends up tightening their rules on spam/brigades once they are over, specifically the LoL and Undertale reddits. it almost happened to Draven in 2013 in that semi-final with Mewtwo thanks to "Allen's wife."

Wasn't Neku the one who spiked most? KOS-MOS supporters were upset because they banked on the pic advantage, while names alone would likely favor a ubiquitous one like "Frog". Then we got the pics and Neku did the most work lol - that's my recollection, but it's hazy.

According to the PCA, it looks like KOS-MOS spiked on the first update after we got a pic, but then Neku was the one who sustained an advantage after things settled in.

All of that could pic unrelated though, as the board vote is more likely to favor brackets as opposed to the clear fourth place.

I haven't had a lot to say about this show, but I am getting to the analysis of ME2 vs. RE2, and I do want to point out something that's bugging me about this match.

We are going to be pausing the contest for a bit, and then jumping into the contest with Link/Zelda seeking a blowout close to 80%, and a debated match in the other slot. This was the exact same set up that we saw in 2018, and that day was notable for Link failing to break 80%, and a match so close that the registered user bonus decided the result. The smart money for second chance might be to look at what game you think scores with registered users, because no matter how we promote the contest during the down time, there will be some voters that don't come around after the break.

Just finished the episode, and I do need to back what KP said about the board vote for Xenoblade vs. Three Houses. It was absolute hilarity, and I might even go as far to say that the board vote has been one of the most underrated things of this contest. So many hilarious things have happened with it.

VVVVVV kicking out Fallout 4's ass for a minute. Zero Escape leading Diablo III for a few minutes was a thing that happened. The first Skyrim disappointment was letting Subnautica take the piss out of it in the opening minutes. There's examples of fun stuff just happening, so I do recommend trying to be here for the opening minutes if you can.

The people of this fair site voted a Vita port of a game that came out on the PS2 over one of the best and biggest games of the decade, I highly doubt the voters are going to put any more though into this match beyond "Hurrrr durrr I like link!"

I don't think I'm going to play one of those 16 games during the break, but after this contest I'm making a point of trying RE2 this year. I have RE1 in my Steam library so I'll play that one first, but damn if I won't try the sequel after the crazy match it gave us (and the rare oppurtunity for me to leave my own mark in a contest with that last minute RE2 rally).

This contest has done plenty to motivate me to play new games tho. Before it, I had only played 5 from the bracket (Portal 2, Danganronpa, Undertale, Link Between Worlds and Berseria). Now I have played Celeste, I have Bastion in my Steam library, and there are plenty of others I wanna try. Not to mention I'm more motivated to finally buy a Switch this year.

I was #52 while we recorded last night, during the pre-show there was quite the debate over where I'd end up after getting both matches correct. Turns out we underestimated how difficult they were- only 14% called P4 and just 17% got Xenoblade, which gives us a final result of

We decided our goal was to have The Show doubling up the leaderboard when we hit the break, and we're getting close- yo moved up to #75 with the Xeno result.

Looks like Mass Effect 2 for me.

Gotta say I have a soft spot for those round 1, unexpectedly close fodder vs. fodder matches. The Rocket League vs. FighterZs of the world.

I don't know if I'll actually play anything remaining in the bracket (mostly due to being Switch only), but I have the Zero Escape series installed on my PC, so I'll definitely be playing it shortly.

Here's my suggestion for bonus matches during the 6 day break:

16 game mini-bracket featuring the 16 games that were eliminated during Round 3. The first round of this mini-bracket will be 4 matches per day, round 2 and round 3 is 2 matches per day, and the final is 1 match per day. That fills up the entire 6 day break with bonus matches.

Based on how this round is trending, we are looking at these bonus matches for the first 2 days of the break:
