Kind of neither. I behave introvertedly because I'm shy and never really feel like I need other people around, but I never really feel like I need time away from people either, which is something that usually applies to genuine introverts. I'm largely ambivalent about the presence of other people.

Years ago it was too hard to find something everyone wanted to do (especially if they settle on some movie) so it was better to just keep myself occupied.
