A Georgia Teacher is in paid admin leave after she posted a controversial assignment involving the Confederate Flag that compares it WHITE TRASH and INCEST!!

Crybaby Melissa Fuller shared the Hephzibah High School assignment after her daughter,a confederate supporter was offended by the offensive message!!

Melissa said "A lot of is that it's not morally correct. It's unethical. It's just something you don't want to discuss today in today's world and especially inside of a classroom"

She said her daughter received an in school suspension after wearing a belt buckle with the flag on it and was told to remove it.

She said "If she can't wear that belt buckle, then why is it appropriate tomake an assignment out of it?"

The confederate flag has a longstanding racist history tied to southern succession from the Union over state right's involving enslaving african people but some historical revisionist have since claimed it's to honour southern pride

Fuller agrees with that stating it's not racist it's about pride and her family are proud confederate supporters as they have numerous flags and clothing engraved with the symbol and is outraged that teachers are turning the meaning into something "ugly".

The school condemned the language and said it has no place in the classroom and the teacher will be reprimanded

I mean yeah, that's not appropriate. Not because it disparages the confederate flag, that's just not appropriate language for a classroom setting. It imparts no information, no reason for why the flag is considered a symbol of hate, just literal schoolyard insults, but coming from a teacher.

Or at least thats how it seems. I'd like the full context of the assignment rather than this shitty and blurry image that gives a vague understanding at best.

The flag and its supporters deserved to be trashed, but I don't know if this is a good way to go about it in a school setting. I used to be a rebel flag supporter and I used to care about "southern pride/heritage" and all that crap when I was young, but I changed my ways by learning about all the horrible atrocities done by the confederates and slave owners in school and other means. Something more educational would be better.

It is weird to me. I grew up in Northern WV. During the civil war, my family was pro confederate in an extremely pro union area. The older brother of my direct relative enlisted with the confederacy in the 47th Virginia cavalry. He was killed by the local home guard while trying to return on furlough.

I do not hate my family but they fought on the wrong side.

What I do not understand now is back home people fly the stars and bars and cite history. My relative was killed back home wearing those emblems. That is history. Not honoring the damn thing.
