The Fired Dallas Hoe is on trial for fatally shooting her 26 y/o neighbor last year after mistaking his apartment for her own Defense attorneys questioned the ranger where he doesn't believe she committed a crime and said "I don't believe the shooting was reckless or criminally negligent based on the totality of the investigation and the circumstances and facts" Guyger said she found the door of the apartment was hers and "slightly ajar" nd that the door was opened when she used her electronic key to enter the apartment believing she was being robbed by Jean Armstrong said the screws in the strike plate of Jeans'door had been screwed in too far which caused it to "bow out" and prevented it from closing properly Defense said Jean's door was open the day she entered and shot him dead Texas Rangers whom Armstrong works for initially only charged her with manslaughter by a grand jury chose to indict her on a more serious charge Armstrong testified that the layout of their apartments were similar as their couch and TV were in a similar position. Vastly different than the view from the 3rd floor, where Officer ugly pants lived. Fact: Black guy had a bright red floor mat in front of his door. She doesnt have ANY floor mat. Fact: A bullet traveled from above his left nipple... DOWN... through the heart, lung, intestines, and finally came to a stop near some muscle on the back. Meaning he was either A) getting up from a seated position or... and this is much scarier, B) he was going down to the floor in a sign of surrender. Fact: During her call with 911 she said she saw a guy in what she thought was her home and she shot him. That is NOT proper police protocol. They are required to de-escalate whenever possible.
