I'm going to have to stick with DKC 2, but you're not wrong if you pick Super Metroid or FFVI either.

SNES library forever god tier. Haven't played Earthbound (will change soon though thanks to my Classic) or Chrono Trigger. And to be fair to MMX, it's been a while since I've given it a whirl, and I've just never been huge on the series.

Somehow I've played DKC1 and DKC3, but never DKC2

e: Oh, and outside this limited field, I might have to go with Final Fantasy Mystic Quest, mainly because it was the first game I ever played. I learned how to read from that game, that's how close to my heart it is.

Out of these, Chrono Trigger with SMW coming closely behind. I'd say Turtles in Time and Castlevania IV are also games that should be considered, although you can make an argument that Turtles in Time is just a very good arcade port.

Probably TMNT 4 Turtles in Time overall. Out of these uhhhh maybe FF6? Not much from that era I care about.

Close between Link to the Past and Chrono Trigger, but I'll go with Zelda.

Super Metroid and Final Fantasy VI are great games, but I'm not a total nut for them. Metroid Prime and Zero Mission are better than Super IMO, even Fusion might be. Based on what I've played of FFVII I prefer that to FFVI.
