It was the only film where the Fellowship adventured together, even if it was for only about an hour of screen time, and in that hour they saw more cool places than in the latter two movies combined (or at least it felt that way). All I'm certain of is that I liked Return of the King the least of the trilogy. If I had to pick one I'd go with The Two Towers because the first film is setup, while Two Towers packs the real punch. The battles in the later films were a bit too much like something out of a Marvel movie at times for my tastes with the Legolas and Gimli banter and stunts.
