iiicon 01/03/18 4:06:30 PM #3:	I was so bothered by this problem I built a series of nesting smart playlists that weights certain criteria more than others (so, for instance, songs I love get played more often than songs I like) and eliminates songs I don't want to hear (if I'm on shuffle I probably don't want to hear a song I've heard in the last week). --- ICON: Well! iiicon 01/03/18 4:21:46 PM #7:	i know! worse, apple keeps removing functionality from itunes smart playlists, so i have to keep mine purposely outdated. but the result is a constantly surprising playlist that fits my mood and often inspires me to listen to albums i'd forgotten about. --- ICON: Well! thundersheep 01/03/18 4:23:40 PM #8:	Yeah, my library makes shuffle basically unusable since there are so many "situational" songs and albums included. I just use a "Thumbs Up" playlist on Google Play when I want to shuffle and it's basically filled with either singles I love, or great songs from average to terrible albums I never listen to.
