I feel like things like watching "old people" react to "young people" things is the easiest example. It's kind of a given that as soon as something is being seen by a lot of people, marketers and advertisers will try to find a way in there. Golden Road posted... Why was Mystery Science Theater 3000 popular? It's the same basic idea. Most reaction videos are boring, but I get the underlying idea behind them. While caustic reviewers owe a lot to MST3k, I'm not sure if that's as true of react videos which might share more with something like America's funniest home videos.
