Board 8 > Just got my first Platinum Trophy [Modern Gaming] [Maybe Persona 5 Spoilers]

(P5, as the topic title says)

I took a four month cooling-down break after my initial playthrough in April before finally coming around to play NG+ here. The last trophy I got was filling the Compendium, and not even with the NG+ exclusive persona (Crystal Skull is an absolute bitch and I spent over an hour hunting it on the last floor of Mementos and killed probably 30 Emperor's Amulets and Hope Diamonds in the process after not seeing one in my first playthrough. My playtime when the trophy popped is approximately 139 hours. Pretty solid.

I was super worried about the 250 Futaba Lines trophy (The Rise version of this is why I never went back and did this for P4G, but everything I've heard said this one was a lot easier so I figured I'd go for it) but it popped at the start of the NG+ superboss so "cool", saves me some stress and probably 15-20 hours trying to grind that out from a backup save. I guess the only reason I didn't get it on my first play was that I only used Yusuke and Haru for the bare minimum amount of time and didn't use Makoto that much either (Though she at least got some time)

Anyways the important point is I graduated to modern games guys gj me but I'm just not completionist or driven enough to do this with the other PS4/Vita games I have or am likely to get unless I somehow get my hands on one that basically gives it to you for free. Also this game is still just as good as it was four and a half months ago guys.

I own seven games (P5, Nier Automata, Steins;Gate Zero, Persona 4 Golden, Fate/Extella, Danganronpa 2 and Danganronpa Ultra Despair Girls) that have trophies.

So maybe one of five, because like hell am I grinding out P4G for reasons given above and like hell am I playing Ultra Despair Girls holy shit that game is so awful

I used her for the third palace and then subbed her in for the final boss (Whereas with the others just I used them for their mandatory fights and then immediately subbed them out)

Most of the first playthrough I just ran Morgana/Ryuji/Ann because I was a lazy ass and they're a surprisingly well-balanced trio. Morgana in particular was indispensable for Miracle Punch crits to trigger negotiations because I was super shy with Down Shot

I've always heard the Rise trophy was a pain to get, but I wasn't even really trying for it and I got it.

I actually did a playthrough where I /was/ trying for it to some extent (I wasn't intentionally minimizing exp like I've usually seen recommended, but I was at least rotating party members and playing at least somewhat inefficiently to try to get more lines) and didn't get it so <_<

yeah I was 100% trying to get Futaba and I got it early in Palace 6

so you probably don't have to try too hard

Using the strategy I outlined above for P4, I got the Futaba trophy at the start of the superboss fight (Which has a seven or eight line intro, and means I'd have almost certainly gotten it on the final boss if I were in a regular playthrough), though I'd already cleared seven palaces prior to that.

Incidentally, my save is now on 12/4 and I have literally nothing to spend my in-game time on <_<

The gym and attic training only give me 1 HP (and 1 SP for gym) because I used them too much LOL

so when I decide to actually finish the playthrough it's just going to be me skipping days as efficiently as possible and just rushing the endgame dungeon

My end game party was Ryuji/Ann/Makoto. Ryuji for Charge, Ann for Concentrate, and Makoto for healing/Marakukaja/general utility.

Joker/Makoto/Yusuke/Ryuji was my best party because they cover all the buffs.

Joker with all waifus, switching Makoto with Ryuji for bosses.

i've maxed hifumi and just rotated everyone out as needed, main party being Ann/Morgana/Makoto with Haru swapping depending. Ryuji and Yosuke though were just as indepensible.
