I think it also has to deal with realizing that you're an adult now. Growing from a idiot teen to an adult and realizing that you're getting older is very daunting to many. Getting older means more responsibilities that many are unfamiliar with, which can be very hard for them to grasp and take control of.

Point is it's not the actual bill paying you're worried about it's getting the money to pay said bills and do other things. If you had cash you wouldn't be worried about paying bills.

That's only one responsibility. You still have to manage your finances so you adequately save for the future, you have upkeep on your home, you have additional social obligations, and being an adult means you're liable for more serious punishments when you fuck up. And, in addition to bills, you have all kinds of fun taxes you need to pay.

Even "paying bills" isn't entirely straightforward because you need to manage your money wisely because otherwise you won't be able to pay some of those bills.

Anyway I'll game from 12AM-whenever Friday and Sat. Sunday usually game all day maybe

You do have to keep a job or something to be able to pay those bills, but depending on the job, I found that significantly less stressful than college (even though I lead a pretty critical team of a large public company).

Though as people mentioned, you not only need to pay the bills day to day, but plan for the future. And sometime shit goes wrong (if you ever have to deal with lawyers, its not fun).

Then there's some people who find life is still too easy and decide to be responsible for another life and have kids. Then shit gets hard.

Pfft, that's easy. I've been doing that since I was literally a baby.

The thing about being an adult is live is only as difficult as you make it. At a minimum you need to worry about money to pay for necessities, but beyond that any other responsibilities are your choice.

Don't want to take care of a pet? Don't get one.

Don't want to take care of a house? Rent.

Don't want to clean your house? Hire a maid service (with money of course).

Don't want to be responsible for another life? Don't have kids.

Just want to sit and play video games all day? Don't have friends.

Life is only as hard as you make it.

It's also the fact that if anything breaks or if you get sick, it's up to you to take care of it. You can't just mention it to your parents and be done with it.
