There are so many things that could have been done. I guess it could be argued that only someone as demented as Halligan could go through with an action like that, that maybe intentionally harming yourself to void the promise would prevent it from being recognized as being broken. That still gives this game far too much credit when it deserves precisely none. And then the mistletoe happens. Like, no, that should not have been a happy ending. Or an ending. Or happened at all. Maybe it didn't happen, Serstan won and this is Halligan's mind making sense of its final dying moments. That's my new headcanon. It just makes no sense otherwise.

This is absolutely my favorite wrongpurae they've ever done. Move over Dark Seed 2, move over Cobra, move over actual-best-series-prior-to-this Shadow of Destiny. I cannot believe the sheer stupidity of basically every single puzzle in the entire game. It's consistently ridiculous every single minute. I finished part 1 and thought "man, poisoning a homeless man so you can steal his change to make a phone call HAS to be the high point of the entire game" and was proven wrong pretty much every single part that was uploaded.

10/10 game, 10/10 protagonist, 10/10 life experience

Having recently re-watched Dark Seed 2, I think Dark Seed 2 is better because Mike Dawson really is the absolute worst protagonist.

But this is still almost as good.

I already knew the ending (from a video by the very funny Richard Cobbett, whose stuff I heartily recommend watching: https://www.youtube.com/user/richardperspective/videos), but that just made the anticipation for the RP team's reactions all the better.

Great series.

BTW, House of Tales have made other games. With less infamous covers, but, in some cases, worse reviews.

I don't think this one moves up to the top tier of wrongpuraes for me (the two Dark Seeds and Hopkins FBI remains my top 3) but it's pretty good

Top 3 Rongpuraes are Cobra, Last Alert, and Shadow of Destiny. Would Sonic 2006 and Metroid: Other M fall under Rongpuraes? They probably wouldn't pierce that top 3, but they're pretty good.

I'm pretty slow on the Mystery of the Druids one, though. Hopefully I can speed through it next week.

Shadow of Destiny was in my top 10

Its amazing how late they were to the Sonic 06 party yet I think it's my favorite Sonic 06 lets play.

Oh yeah, I still go back and watch Snatcher every year or so. But it's not all that funny, it's just that Slowbeef's love for that game transferred over to me, who had never heard of it before then. It has that Kojima charm to it. I wish their Policenauts LP didn't have all that awful noise over it.
