I think Indeed exists because hardly anyone finds a job on it. People spend months sending out applications, thus giving hits to the site, with no results. If even 50% of the applicants found a job within two weeks, Indeed wouldn't make the money it's making now. It's worse than playing the lottery.

I've been to indeed but it's been useless at finding any jobs. I think I got one interview after using it for months.

I eventually got the job I'm at now on ZipRecruiter

I assume it's mostly for employers who want to pad out their database of applications while not actually having current needs or openings.

EDIT: And yeah, I've been there. The applications I submitted through it resulted in nothing or e-mails back confirming what I just said.

Every legitimate job I've had has come from visiting an in-person job fair and I work in technology. The only "job" I got online (from a university job site) was a scam.

For me it's the opposite. I have got almost all my jobs through online. Well, I have gotten my first jobs with a new company online. I've done a lot of promoting and transferring once in a company.

I did not get a job from Indeed. I put in a lot of resumes, I got a handful of interviews, but my job only came when a temp agency tried to place me with a company I'd already applied to.

Oh, is that a popular job website in the US? For me, Jobstreet is the way to go.
