True, however it is the difference between us knowing that Republicans suppress voting because when more people vote they tend to lose, and them literally saying it because Trump's allowed them to just stop giving a fuck about even pretending to be decent people. I think one of the main issues Dems have historically had with trying to educate the masses about Republicans is even though they were always evil, they at least used to put on a presentation that created doubt. They created wiggle room that "made" Dems sound crazy/unhinged because there was that room for doubt.
