It's just farmland and you can't see anything at night. If I'm going through there during the day, I have quite a few times seen a dead dog on the road, likely just thrown out of their owner's car at full speed to not have to deal with it. That's my guess anyway. I don't know if any type of organizational body ever goes out there to clean them up.
