I feel bad for anybody that truly believed this was going to be the beginning of the end for Trump. I mean come on, did you really believe that the buy borrow die strat was the thing that would take him down, or that they were going to jeopardize the strat for the rest of the 1%?

I know it's a lot to ask, but you need to get the idea of revenge against Trump out of your heads. It'll never happen. He's going to get away. With everything.

I'm not asking you to get over it though. This is definitely not okay. But the only way to get back at Trump is to make it so future assholes like him, ones in that untouchable class, actually see justice. That kind of change won't be easy and won't come quick. It's been called for for decades now. But maybe some day enough people will wake up and we'll elect enough people who actually give a damn about something outside of their bank accounts.

Or we keep things as they are, watching and hoping that the line goes up so that some of that wealth trickles down into our 401(k)s.

Yeah I lost interest in these trials months ago. He'll keep delaying until after the election, then possibly win it and pardon himself. He never faces real punishments, and I give up caring.

While the constant delays are frustrating, I don't think we should abandon hope just yet. This is a normal part of the appellate process. The appellate court didn't say Trump is no longer on the hook for ~$460 million. They just said he only has to pay $175 million to appeal the judgement. If he loses the appeal, then he still has to pay the ~$460 million. Interest is also still accruing.

It also seems like the judge in the Manhattan criminal trial is done with Trump's delay tactics, so April 15th will likely be the start of the criminal trial.

Then on April 25th, we've got the arguments for Trump's absurd immunity appeal. I think it'll take a while for SCOTUS to rule on it, but I doubt they're going to say he has immunity to commit crimes.

In the end, it's up to each of us to ensure that Trump is brought to justice in 2024. Deny him and the GOP the presidency by voting blue. Convince your friends and family to do the same as well.

Sucks that the weakest case is going first but it looks like trumps attorneys are already having a rough time.

It's not weak, it's all documentation and Cohen was literally convicted of the same crime, so the crime has already been established. Bragg will have to argue that it was more about election interference since Trump was trying to keep this information from the U.S. public, not his wife (we know he doesn't give a shit what his wives think about him).

The Stormy Daniels story would have broke like 2 weeks before the election, it absolutely could have been enough to tank him with independents/Republicans not yet onboard with MAGA, which is why it's more of a case of election interference than hush money, though the latter is the media narrative.

Obviously jan 6 was way more egregious of a crime.
