Like yeah... if you trap your house/door/etc... and it harms a legit emergency services person, through the book at you. But if your trap harms/kills someone breaking into your house or otherwise engaging in criminal activity... you should get a pass legally. Yes, I know that would "encourage" setting up traps and thus endangering innocent people. I get why the laws are the way they are. But I really don't like it.
